Present Time

Riley and Liam walked into their hotel room in Mexico late Thursday evening after a fairly short flight over from Miami. She hadn't talked to anyone besides Liam and Logan, she ignored Tristen the next day because she didn't want to face the truth. Although she didn't think she was broken yet, she was just close.

Riley had ignored the very few texts that Daniel sent her, because she couldn't help but blame him for losing the SD card, when she was the one who really felt at fault. She lended him the camera, if she hadn't, it wouldn't have gotten lost, she put the card of Paris in there, she could've put in a new one.

But a part of her wanted to add on to her memories of Arthur and store them all in one place. To keep from mixing him with what her life was now, where in Monaco she was adding onto what her life was before she left.

All of the drivers were staying in a hotel that was right next to the circuit. They could quickly walk to it in a matter of minutes. Liam was getting ready for grid dinner while Riley was sitting on their bed with her journal in hand.

"Are you sure you don't want to go?" Liam asked, walking out of the bathroom in a black dress shirt he was continuing to button.

"Yeah I'm sure" Riley nodded, smiling when him walked to her. He leaned down giving her a quick kiss and noticing something he hadn't in weeks.

"What happened to wearing gloss" He asked, moving away from her again to put on his shoes.

"I just didn't like it anymore" She shrugged, keeping her face in her journal. Riley looked over at Liam briefly. She made her way over to him on the bed, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, hearing him laugh in the process.

"Stay with me" Riley mumbled into the side of his neck. "You can miss one grid dinner" She said, wanting to pull him back into the bed with her, but he stood up and Riley let go.

"I'll see you after dinner" He said, seeing Riley leaning up on the bed on her knees.

"But we're going out tonight" Riley said sighing, feeling his hands rest on her waist. Riley looked in his eyes, getting scared once again that she was holding him back, but he kissed her before she could move.

Riley melted into the kiss, putting her hands on the back of his neck while she slowly moving backwards onto the bed. Liam slid a hand to her back while he laid her down.

"I'll be back in a few hours" Liam said, seeing a flat smile dancing along Riley's face while she sat back up.

"Okay" She said softly, watching him make his way to the door before he left her sight completely, and his presence in the room was gone.

Riley sighed, collapsing backwards onto the bed, putting her hands on her head as she took in a few deep breaths. She moved to pick her journal back up, glancing out of the window and getting a glimpse of the tracks that were outside.

She laid down, flipping through the pages, seeing Arthur's note, feeling her heart break all over again. Riley was deep in denial, not believing that he loved her, that he would be able to stay with her longer than a week, that he even knew what he wanted. But for some unforeseen reason, Riley walked over to her bag, picking up a journal that she not only brought with her, but swapped out with Jonah's.
