Present Time

Riley sat with Josh for nearly 3 hours while everyone was at the beach. Giving him time to talk to her about Noah, which ended in her reassuring him that she was fine, and there was no need to worry. But once that conversation ended, it allowed a new one to begin, with them having enough time alone to talk about how each others lives were genuinely. Everything about Arthur, from the bar in Monaco, Paris, to their kiss a couple nights ago. They talked about Riley's first date with Liam, her time in Milton Keynes with him, Singapore, Japan, how him and Logan used to race with each other.

"What's that one Taylor Swift song?" Joshua asked her, trying to remember what he was being reminded of. "Invisi-"

"Invisible String!" Riley said quickly, beating him to it with a smile on her face.

"Yeah it sounds like that song"

"He feels like a Taylor Swift song" Riley said, laying down backwards on the couch, letting her open book that she was reading lay on her stomach.

"I remember when you wanted someone like Light Skin Bieber" Joshua said with a laugh, looking into his copy of Little Women that was resting in his lap.

"I forgot about that" Riley said sitting up, "Any era of Justin would've been fine in all actuality" She told him, putting her attention in her copy of Little Women, "What page are you on?"

"I'm on chapter 35," He told her, "Right where Laurie confesses his love to Jo, kind of how Arthur confessed to you"

"Oh shut up" Riley said, kicking his led slightly, "He did not confess his love he just wanted sex"

"Well I don't know what you're doing in the bedro-"

"Joshua stop talking right now" Riley told him, not wanting to hear another thing he had to say. The two of them went quiet for the first time in a while, continuing to read the chapter they were both on before they could discuss it.

This was something they used to do when they were little together, reading various different novels together, entering different stories together, and living through them.

Riley looked up when the front door opened and smiled when Liam walked in. She heard Mrs Josie tell everyone to take their shoes off when they entered the house, not wanting to track sand in throughout the house. Liam walked over to Riley when everyone started piling into the house, he took off a pair of sunglasses and hooked them onto his shirt.

"How was it" Riley asked, putting her bookmark in and closing the book.

"Would've been better if you were there but" He shrugged, leaning down when she looked up at him. Riley sat up the smallest bit, helping him close the space between them.

"PDA much?" Josh asked while standing up, putting his book down on the small table in the center of the room. Riley laughed when Liam pulled away, and she looked at Josh as he started walking out of the room.

"Do you know how many time's I've said the same exact thing to you" Riley said, sitting up and putting her book down next to his.

"Don't remind me" He said, nearly running into Arthur when he walked into the kitchen. "Sorry man" he apologized, continuing to walk past him.

"There was Madelyn, Francesca" She started listing off a bunch of names, "And don't forget about Debbie!" She yelled to him, hearing him start talking loudly to Tristen to block out her voice.

"I didn't know you dated Francesca" Mrs Josie said to him while walking into the living room.

"Oh but he didn't" Riley told her, "Matter of fact he actu-"
