She spranged up from where she sit on the couch as she heard Kenneth's car drove in, she sighed nervously as she waited for him, she looked up as the door open, Kenneth walking in as he meet her gaze, he look tired and worn out, the only thing he want is to just go to bed, his day has been hectic. He walked up to her and kiss her forehead before he walked up to his room, their room, not even bothering saying anything.

She sighed picking up his suit that laid on the couch before following him into their bed room, Ken already walking into the bathroom, she walked into the room sitting on their bed after hanging his suit as she wait for him, it felt like eternity when Ken finally walk out of the ensuite in to the closet as he got dress all the while Joan waiting patiently for him. He walk back into the room drying his hair with the towel before discarding it.

"How was your day?" Joan asked but got nothing in reply but she pressed on "you look tired"

"I'm fine, Joan" he replied softly walking to his side of the bed

"Alright, I made dinner, I was wondering if you will like to come down or I should bring it for you" she asked

"I just want...."

"Please..." She cut him off  "have dinner with me" she pleaded looking hopefully at him, he was silent for what felt like eternity looking at her before nodding his head

"Alright, I will be down in a few"

"Thank you, I will set the table" she replied smilling softly before walking out of their room.

She dished their food which consist of pasta and chicken as Ken took the chair opposite hers before they fall into silent as they both eat their food.

"Tasha came by today" she break the silence already feeling awkward, this isn't like them, every night as they ate dinner together, Ken will always told her how his day went and asked about hers.

"Alright" Ken replied looking at her briefly before he continue eating.

"You didn't tell me about your day" she said looking at him as she wished he would just show her that he still care.

"Okay I guess" he replied.

She sighed before she face her food and continue eating silently with a heavy heart, how is she supposed to make everything right again, she can't bear to get this treatment from him again, she miss him already. She look up when she heard Kenneth pushing back his chair standing.

"Thanks for the meal" he said as she saw him walk away, she sighed clearing the table and cleaning their plate, walking back to their room, she met Ken already sound asleep, she clean up before joining him on the bed and before she woke up the next morning, Ken was nowhere to be found.

These goes on for two weeks, Ken already gone before she wakes up and she had to beg him to eat in the evening, she tried to talk to him countless time but it was all futile, Ken wasn't ready to hear her out and he tried everything to avoid her, he misses her but her doubting him was just something he can't put away.

He was hurt, he tried everything to make her comfortable, to make her trust him but that one statement was enough to make him think that he was not enough for her, he knew he didn't deserve her, she is kindhearted, considerate, understanding, smart and beautiful to list few, letting her go is better than making her miserable, he is ready to do anything for her as long as it makes her happy.

He feel her walking to the room and once again he pretend to be asleep, he feel her laying beside him and he fight with himself to turn around and wrap his arm around her.

"Ken, are you asleep?" She asked hoping she will be able to talk to him tonight, she sighed when he didn't respond, she was late once again to talk to him, this past week has been horrible for her and she was beginning to lose hope of getting her man back.
