Chapter 3 :first longest

They walk toward the hall with Kenneth holding her on her waist possessively ,they walk inside the hall and damn it the hall was so big with people everywhere talking among themselves

'Kenneth is that you'a man in is early 60s walking toward them with a woman glued to his side,the man hair is almost grey with a brown eye and somewhat round face,his eyes was calculating but he has a smile on the tip of his lips,the woman on the other hand is probably in her late 50s,she has blonde hair,her eye sharp and dark honey in color,a heart shaped face and have a welcoming smile on her face,which made her smile in return.

'Hey Mr Georg, its nice seeing you here ,hey Cathie ,how are you?'Kenneth greeted them friendly and smile back at the woman,she wouldn't say the smile was a real one but it was friendly enough

'Hey,same here 'Mr Georg replied averting his eyes to her briefly

'Kenneth, do you mind introducing this gorgeous woman beside you'the woman called Cathie ask curiously as her smile widened

'Oh yeah,this is my wife Joan,baby this is Mr Georg and his wife Cathie ,a family friend 'he said with spark in his eye like he was in love with her,it surprised her for a second before she realizes they are in public and everything was all for show but she still hold on to a tiny string that it was real even though her head was screaming at her not to put her hopes up.

How can she have a bipolar man as husband, sweet to her outside and cold to her at home ,she thought

'Hi Mr and Mrs Georg, its nice meeting you I'm Joan 'she said all to sweetly that she was surprised by the way her voice sound,she would have thought she was happy been with kenneth with the way she sound if she wasn't devastated inside,hating she has to pretend everything was fine even though she was anything but fine,she wouldn't want her marriage to end when its not up to three months,she wouldn't be able to live as a divorcé this soon.

'Hi dear just call me Cathie and its nice meeting you too,honey they look cute together right?'Cathie said and she have to hold herself from rolling her eyes at the woman who doesn't know what she was going through,she wish it was true and she would have reply the woman by looking at kenneth as he kiss her forehead and smile down at her,she smiled at herself with the stupid thought in her head,thinking she was crazy and the woman must have thought she was smiling at her because she smiled back,shaking her head inwardly at how pathetic her life must have be.

'Yeah ,OK see you guys around and enjoy your  day Joan'The man said and walked away dragging Cathie with her,she sigh big time and look around the room

'Hey ken how have you being 'a man in his 50ish said and walk to them and she groaned under her breath thinking of how she will have to pretend again.

'Hey Nate,I'm good and meet my wife Joan, honey meet Nate a business associate'hesaid all too sweet again and she has to pinch herself to remind herself that everything was just for show,she kept saying kenneth won't love someone like her over and over in her head.

'Hey,it's nice to see you'she said shaking his hand

'Hey,I never knew you are this beautiful in real live, I've heard so  much about you and its nice meeting you too'the man said smiling at her and she returned it with one of hers

'Thank you'she replied

'OK guys see you around'he said and walk away from them as if something was up his butt ,joan thought it was strange but she brush it off knowing Kenneth would probably not care about that if she brought it up.

'You can  go now I will come for you if I need you 'he said to her coldly before walking away and she sighed relieved the show to be the perfect couple has end,happy he knew her name.
