Chapter 10:happy

Kenneth was in his office when Lois enter his office because the stupid secretary refuse to sit on her desk,she was always gossiping around,he try sending her away but he didn't know what she see but she suddenly sit on his lap and started kissing him, all his effort to push her away are futile and after sometime ,he finally send her out of his office and company and telling her if she show her face again ,she will be done for

He try to concentrate on his work after that but he couldn't, he feel like he was cheating on his wife,he love her though he never want to admit it but he know he can't live without her in his life ,he might have treat her badly and acted cold to her when they first got married but that is because he never want to admit it that she affect him but the day he bided on her was the day he knew he will never let her slip from his hand ,the day he knew seeing her in another man's arm is the day he will be hurt most

After sitting on his chair for about an hour he decided to clear his head,he pick up his car key and drove around the city before he sighted a park,he park his car and walked around it until he saw someone being hurt by a guy ,he move toward them and saw that she  is his wife and hurting her is Drake Bass

The guy he detest most ,he came one day to his office when his company is about to collapse and he invest in his company which earn him fifty percent of his share

"Let her go"he said calmly in a firm tone,God knows he is anything but calm,the guy is hurting his wife and he want nothing but to rip his hand off his shoulder,he gritted his teeth,his hand forming a fist when he gripped his wife hair tightly again,Joan whispering in pain.

'Let go of my wife'he said again before she was let go

Ken throw a fist at him, he fall to the ground and wince in pain, ken grip him on the neck and swept him off from the floor while he gasp for air

'The next time you try that on my woman will be the end of you and you know me too well Drake Bass, you know me,I will destroy you,I will make you suffer that you will be wishing for death ,I don't make empty threat ,don't come near my woman again or you will be done for, am I clear ?'Drake nod

After threatened him and he run for his dear life, he saw Joan's car driving away,spending two hours at the park ,he drive back to his office and round up with his work and drive home

Getting home,Rose cooked dinner and Joan did not come down to eat,unlike her,she will always cook dinner and breakfast for him,contemplating on going to her room but he decided against it,he didn't want to intrude her privacy

He walk to his study and go through some files and e-mail, after four hours he walk out and it almost mid night, he met the food untouched so he decided to go find out why she did not eat

Maybe she's not feeling well

He walk up to her room ,knocked and didn't hear any response ,he push the door open and walk to her bed,she was sleeping, sweating and with frown on her face saying some audible word,he sit beside her and stroke her hair

Drake please don't hurt me,I beg of you...I don't love you any more...I love someone else...I'm married and I love my husband so much...I can't give you what you want... Please stop hurting me

His heart hurt knowing fully well that Drake was the source of her nightmare
How do they know each other ?

He push the thought away and  focus on Joan stroking her  hair and comforting her,she wake up and hug him tightly crying in his arm

'Ssssshhh,it's OK nobody will hurt you, I'm here OK, I won't allow anybody to hurt you'

'Ken,he w...w...will...h..u'she said choking on each word
