𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍

"Look who's no longer supporting a Buzzcut" Finn said as he ran up to Evie "Me!" Evie rolled her eyes not breathing a word to the boy "Evie! I've longer got a Buzzcut!" the boy said with a grin.

"I can see that" she said as she kept walking. "Gwen said she loves it. She said I was ok with my Buzzcut but i look a lot better now. Like a glow up or something" Evie rolled her eyes at the mention of the girls name.

Gwen was Finn's new kind of girlfriend. Evie didn't like her because she thought that Finn deserved better than a girl who didn't even give him the time and had other guys on her arm too. Finn was simply too good for her but for some reason he was intrigued by the girl and Evie didn't know how or why.

"I've got somewhere to be, Finn. I can't stay and talk about you and Gwen" The girl told him hoping he'd just take the hint. "You never want to be around me anymore" Evie whipped around and scoffed.

She was ready to shout and rage about how he only ever talks about Gwen until she seen the look on his face. "Finn...I do want to be around you but you can make it hard sometimes when all we ever talk about is you and Gwen. When you tutor me— we still talk about you and Gwen. Just there a second ago— you and Gwen. I'm happy for you and happy you've found someone you love but I can't sit and listen to you talk about each other all the time" Finn didn't know what to say so he stayed silent.

"I've got to go find Mal so I can do her fitting" and with that Evie walked away leaving a still silent Finn.

"Hey, Gwen" Finn walked up attempting to give the girl a kiss on the cheek but she moved away "you'll ruin my make-up, Finny" Finn nodded understanding and taking a step back "right. Sorry".

"So, I wanted to ask you about us going to Cotillion together" Gwen let out a laugh "us? Got to Cotillion together?" Finn nodded slightly confused as to why she was laughing. "Finn, I have other guys too. I need to go solo so I can get to all of you. I can't be tied down to the one person for the whole night. I got to go and get my dress fitted but I'll see you around".

Finn frowned and leaned against the lockers as the girl walked away. Was he not good enough to just be one guy she went with. Was he no fun? Finn let out a sigh as many thoughts flew through his brain.

"Hey, what's got you all down in the dumps?" Carlos asked as he approached Finn by the lockers. "I asked Gwen about us going Cotillion together but she laughed and said she couldn't be tied down if she wanted to get around to all of us guys" Carlos' brows rose "so not cool. Why don't you just ask Evie?" Finn quirked a brow in question.

"Why would I ask Evie? Shes going with Doug" Carlos looked at Finn a little surprised "she is?" Finn gave the boy a nod "well, I mean...he really likes her and they hang out a lot so I'm assuming she'll be going with him" Carlos let out a small hum.

"Didn't expect that one" he said to himself. He thought it'd be Evie and Finn going together since he thought they liked each other but maybe he was wrong.

"Come on, we've got practice" Finn said as he gave Carlos a pat on the shoulder before leaving. "You refuse to be on the team" Finn shrugged "I can still watch".

"All right, boys. Let's line it up. Carlos, you're with me. Let's go." Jay ordered the team. "Assembler. Salute. Lower the point. Masks down. En garde. Keep your center!" Finn watched as the team and his two friends fought.
