𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄

"Who else knows about the crown and scepter?" Evie asked Mal. "No one. I mean, think about it, people are scared enough as it is. We have to employ these entirely new security measures" the purple haired girl replied as she looked over at Finn too.

Finn and Evie had been hanging out in the girls small castle while Evie worked on some of her sketches. That was until Mal came and told them about the crown and scepter had been stolen. "Will this delay our bringing over more VKs?" Evie questioned.

"We're talking about closing the barrier for good" Finn scoffed "surely they can't do that. These kids we brought over won't ever get to see their families again. They were made a promise" Evie nodded in agreement with Finn. "And you said no" Mal was silent for a moment but Evie and Finn didn't seem to catch onto it.

"I mean, the four of us are living the dream here, and we finally get to share that. I mean, what could be more important than that?" Mal nodded "yeah. I know" Mal turned slightly as she sat on the stool and thought for a moment.

"I mean, maybe security or maybe peace of mind for everyone in Auradon".

"Is that what they're thinking? And were they seriously thinking that no one will ever go in or out of the Isle ever again? What, we never get to go back and see our parents?" Mal nodded "and what about these kids? And like Finn said, we promised them that they could go back and visit whenever they wanted" Mal looked at Evie as the blue haired girl stood up and took her best friends hand in hers.

"M, I am so glad that you are going to be Queen. You will be a part of these conversations, you will stand up for the VKs. Thank you for telling us" Evie leaned forward and gave Mal a hug which the girl accepted of course.

"I mean, I was just here. You only came to tell Evie but I'm proud of you too" Mal looked at Finn and smiled "you're just as important as the rest of us. Maybe not a VK but you're close" Finn smiled as he walked over and gave the girl a hug.

"You're gonna be a great Queen".

"Agreed!" Finn said a little too enthusiastically which made both the girls laugh.

The next day was filled with running around Evie's while they set up baskets and stuff for Jane's birthday. Finn was definitely not fit enough for the running he had to do. Evie had woke Finn at 6:30 just so they could get a head start which did work out to an extent.

"Morning. Got the beach towels" Carlos appeared in the doorway with towels in his hands. Finn sat on the counter near the sink thinking he'd already done enough. "I'm so getting a tan today" he said to no one in particular. Evie and Jay were too busy throwing apples to each other and putting them in the basket along with other things to go with it.

"I really think she's gonna like the cake you guys. Me and Bethany stayed up all night making it" Finn almost forgot that Carlos and Bethany were a thing. It was safe to say he definitely approved.

Carlos went to go look at the cake when his face fell and he turned around "oh no. Okay. Who got into Jane's cake?" The other three all looked over at the cake that had a big slice taken from it. "I think we know who got into it" Finn said as Evie looked at him "go check outside if you don't believe me. Kids have got skills I'll tell you that".

Finn winked when Evie gave him a stern look making the girl roll her eyes as she tried to hide the blush that rose on her cheeks. "Hey, where's Mal?" Just as Finn asked they all heard a blast and laughing outside. They all looked at each other before heading out the door.
