(Y/n) throws a spear set on fire to a training dummy, which goes up in flames in a matter of seconds. She stands with a wide smile, watching the flames soar higher.
"That was amazing (Y/n)," Mob said with a small smile. From beside him, his younger brother Ritsu gave a thumbs up.
"I practiced hard," (Y/n) bragged.
"Ah yes, a real spark!" Sho commented sarcastically.
"Yes, very impressive," Raigen said frightened, his body stiff as he watched the spear return to (T/ns)'s hand. To show off, (Y/n) blew on the spear and the flames which were on the tip disappeared. A trail of smoke snaked above her.
"Yeah right, if your goal is to set us all on fire," Ritsu chuckled a little.
"Maybe you should bring it down now," Reigan said, fanning himself with the palm of his hand.
"Um," (Y/n) turned to see the melted dummy.
"What's the matter, little match?" Sho asked, crossing his arms over his chest. Little match, a nickname given to (Y/n) by Sho, apparently for her hotheaded personality.
(Y/n) gave him a harsh look before turning her attention to the dummy set on flames. "Yeah, I can turn it down.." She answered Raigen.
"I think you might want to stop it before it touches the ground," Raigen advised.
"I got it," Mob said quickly, stretching his hand to make the melted plastic float and the fire extinguish with his powers.
"Argh," (Y/n) groaned, letting go of the spear to extend both of her palms forward in a very hard effort to stop the fire from spreading down. "Listen to me, stupid fire," She whispered, desperately.
"Hahah! You made it hotter!" Sho laughed hysterically.
(Y/n) decided to ignore him for now, his words still present as her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Her face was red from embarrassment but also for the intense heat she had caused. Raigen had long ago taken two steps back and three, four towards the extinguisher. Clearly, turning down the sprinklers for training was a bad call.
"You're burning up!"
"Shut up Sho!"
"Okay, sheesh, don't need to get-" Sho looked at (Y/n) dead in the eye "-heated!"
It was the last spark for (Y/n), "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
After Mob and Sho had helped contain and extinguished the fire, (Y/n) squatted down to seat down. Her forehead was drenched in sweat, she had been the closest to the fire after all, and the source of it. "Are you alright (Y/n)?" Raigen asked- a dumb question to ask.
"NO!" (Y/n) shouted frustrated.
"It's okay (Y/n), you just need to practice more," Ritsu tried to cheer.
"Yeah, and maybe not in my office," Reigan was quick to add.
"You heard that little match? I guess you're-" (Y/n) glared into Sho's eyes with a burning passion "-fired!"
(Y/n) was quick to stand and point to Sho. "Mess with fire, get burned," Before anyone knew, her palms had gone up in flames and she was chasing after Sho, who levitated and casually dodged her raging attacks.
"Come on (Y/n), lighten up a little!" Sho.
"Sho, don't test me!"
"Can't blame me for wanting to rekindle the flame. You well know we're kindling spirits!" Sho said casually. Ritsu cringed, Mob's face turned a little pink as he tried to keep up after (Y/n) and turning off the fires she was causing; if this wasn't awkward before it was awkward now.
"A match made in h*ll is more like it," Ritsu whispered to Mob, face palming.
"How about I rekindle your a*s?" (Y/n)'s eye twitched.
"Alright, that's enough training for today kids!" Raigen butted in.
