"Our next client will be here in an hour," Reigen took out a pack of cigarettes from within his suit, "Tidy up, will you? I'll take a quick smoke".
"Right," Serizawa answered. He got up from the chair adjacent to the desk, and took off his suit jacket. Rolling up the sleeves of his dress shirt, he sighed and said "Let's get to work.." to himself.
"Excuse me,"
"Ah!" The sudden call took him by surprise. He glanced over his shoulder and saw a siloute standing at the door. "We're not open," he answered, catching his breath.
"Are you sure? The sign in the front says open,"
Serizawa, fully turned now, met gaze with the lady at the door, "I-I must have forgotten to turn-turn it off.." He lost his train of thought upon laying eyes on hers, and broke away just before it became obvious.
"I see, then I'm sorry for coming in," the lady answered back.
He panicked "N-Not at all!". It was his fault after all for not turning the sign.
"When will you be open?"
He gulped, feeling the sweat beginning to form on his brow, "I'm just cleaning up right now. After work, hmm, I need to go buy some groceries,"
"I meant- when can I come back here to the office?" The lady giggled, but she muffled her laughter by pressing her hand to her mouth.
"Oh, Oh! I'm so-sorry!"
"Please don't apologize," She muttered from behind her palm, with a mix of giggles, "It was cute.."
Serizawa leaned in. "Cute?" He asked outloud- had he misheard?
It was her turn to be nervous suddenly; "Oh, it's nothing!" She insisted, waving her hand off.
"O-Okay," Serizawa agreed, now looking down at the ground. Not finding anything else to say, he remembered he worked there after his gaze met the ground which he was scrubbing earlier. "I-I will give you my business card, just call. Is-is that okay?"
"Please," she replied.
"It's my job," Serizawa laughed a bit at that, considering the irony of him not performing his job as well as he was supposed to. "Sorry I can't help you now," he handed her the card.
She took the card, "That's alright, I'll make an appointment". Another moment of silence passed. Serizawa awkwardly stared at her, who was now looking away with pink in her cheeks, though it might've been the cold from the outside. "Well, I must be on my way. Take care, um," she glanced at the business card, "Serizawa". She smiled, "I'm (L/n) (Y/n), nice to meet you".
"Nicemeetingyou," he replied, too fast for his own liking. If his nerves weren't obvious before, now he was sure they were. "Ta-Take care.." he uttered after she had turning to leave.
On her way out, (Y/n) almost ran into a kid. He was not so short as to not be noticeable, but he was very quiet. Plus, the man from before had made quite the impression on her- she was still not over it and was distracted. "Oh, excuse me," she called out.
"Excuse me," The boy called out too. Both bowed at each other as they scurried off in opposite directions.
When Mob came in, he couldn't believe his eyes. It was beautiful. "Wow," Mob mustered to say.
"What happened here!?" Reigen called angrily. A swarm of butterflies went about the room. There were no natural butterflies- Light shone through them like the sun, the work of a psychic, no doubt. Reigen tried to hit one of them off, in vain, it just split and became two of the same. "I just left for a couple of minutes. I hope this things don't cause any trouble.." Reigen grumbled.
"I'm sorry- They just appeared! They're not going away!" Serizawa cried.
"Excuse me,"
"Ah!" Serizawa just about lost it, having recognized the voice of the woman inmediately.
"What are you doing here? Sorry, but we're closed. We're having a bit of a situation, but feel free to grab one of my business cards, and visit my website," Reigen smiled.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to give anyone a fright," (Y/n) called out to Serizawa specifically. Turning to Reigen, she assumed he must've been the boss around there, "I know the office is not open, but I was in such a hurry that I forgot my coat,"
"Not a problem," Reigen answered back with a smile "I see you already met Serizawa. I'm sure he gave you his bussiness card, but just in case grab mine on my way out. I'm usually the one answering phone calls," He added, in a professional tone.
(Y/n) grabbed the card, having put her coat back on, she called, "Well then, I must really be on my way this time,"
Serizawa could no longer bear the presence of her. His face was red, as red as the face of a teenager having been caught talking to his crush afterschool by his friends. "Yes yes, take care!" Serizawa hurried her.
"You too," (Y/n) called sweetly.
With the door closed, Mob's eyes followed another swarm of butterflies across the room. Reigens maniacal laugher caught Mob off guard, "What's so funny Master?" Mob asked.
"I think I might know the source of this butterflies," Reigen shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest. Mob followed Reigen with his gaze, he watched him place a hand on Serizawa's trembling shoulders. Even though he was turning away, Mob could see the red of his ears. Mob allowed a butterfly to set atop of his head and smiled lightly.
He came to the conclusion that adults were no better when in love or immune to crushes, and that even the strong could fall victims to a stomach full of butterflies, or a whole office in this case.
