The night before their return, Jungkook started noticing changes in Taehyung. He seemed to be more calm and less attached to Jungkook. Which had to be fine to Jungkook but he missed the clingy Taehyung. The changes in scent were also noticeable. Jungkook decided to leave him alone this morning. Taehyung was sleeping and he didn’t want him to wake up with disgust after seeing him. So he planned to wait in the car and thus he just left without any explanation.

Taehyung wakes up in bed squirming and rolling under the comforter. He sits up and tries to adjust the light, disturbing his sleep. He starts getting back; he remembers the last memory of him and Jae talking about the room. Then everything seems erased from his memory. He goes in front of the mirror; the shirt he is wearing is not his, he smells like someone else but looking around there is no one. He knows who it was. A tear rolls down his cheek and he plops down on the floor hugging his knees closer to his chest.
So he knows about me now. This had to happen one day. But how come he left without any explanation? Really? After all these?
Taehyung rubs the red faded spot on his neck and breaks into tears.
Taehyung is suffocating more than fuming in anger. He never felt this betrayed before. Everything seems to be coming to an end. Everyone will know about him now. He gets up from the spot and freshens himself up. After getting dressed up he gets his trolley and leaves his room. Jae was already on the ground floor talking with the hotel staff. He straight goes to the car which was in the parking zone.
Watching him, Jungkook comes down from the car and tries to take the trolley from his hand. His head is hanging down as if he has committed some sin.
“Look straight up in my eyes.”
But Jungkook remains the same as before. Taehyung comes closer, “How could you!? I can’t believe it yet.” He lets out a sigh and hides his face with his hands, “Please keep this a secret. Your family is still not ready to know about this yet.”
Jungkook nods and Taehyung adds, “And for us, I think we need some time apart.”
Jungkook now looks at him surprisingly. He can’t believe it’s the same Taehyung who couldn’t leave his sight for a fraction of a second one day back.
It’s okay. I knew it would happen.
Taehyung gets in the back seat and after a while, Jae comes too.
“How are you feeling now? He told me you had a fever.”
“I am fine, Jae.”
Taehyung keeps this brief and Jae looks at Jungkook realizing the atmosphere. Jungkook tells him to sit in the passenger seat and he starts driving.
The ride was the most suffocating one. Taehyung couldn’t believe all the incidents and Jungkook was almost tearing up several times missing that Taehyung. He hated how the situation was turned into. He wished to change it all.
I have to tell everyone about my true identity and I have to accept whatever the future decides for me.
They reach home in the afternoon. Jungkook and Jae talk with Mrs. Jeon for a while but Taehyung keeps silent. After the two move toward their room, Taehyung hugs Mrs. Jeon. She can easily tell that he is worried, broken but still hiding it from her.
She pulls out from the hug and looks at Taehyung, “Tae, son, you can tell me everything. You know that right?”
Taehyung smiles a little, nods and leaves for his room.
I can’t imagine what is going to happen in the future.

At night, Taehyung doesn’t appear on the dinner table. Everyone is worried about his health. Mr. Jeon tells Jae to send Taehyung some food in his room. Jungkook only stares at the food when Jae keeps looking at him. Mrs. Jeon can now assume something has happened on the trip. She decides to talk to Taehyung after dinner.
A knocking sound echoes in the room and Taehyung gets up from the study table. Mrs. Jeon peeps in, “Can I come in?” Taehyung nods and smiles a bit.
“Why didn’t you come for dinner?”
“I am not hungry.”
“Tell me what’s it?”
After a minute of silence, Taehyung looks at Mrs. Jeon and holds her hands tightly.
“Can I escape from here? I can’t hide it anymore. It’s suffocating.” Taehyung’s eyes start wailing, “I don’t know where I came from. I don’t know if I have any family left of mine. I am not even from this pack and hiding my real identity since childhood. I am taking inhibitors and pills from my puberty. It hurts like hell whenever I think about my life. Can’t I just escape? Can’t you let me live, aunty?”
Taehyung breaks down in tears and Mrs. Jeon hugs him tightly while patting his head slowly, “You are an omega, Tae. They will take you if they know about you. You can’t live like this anymore, I can understand. I made your life hell. I should have informed your uncle earlier.”
“Then let’s tell him, aunty. Whatever his decisions will be, I will accept it.”
The door opens with sound making both of them flinch. Mr. Jeon is standing with his eyes on both the figures in front of him.

The whole Jeon family is gathered in the hall area. Taehyung is sitting on a couch facing Mr. Jeon. Everyone is silent.
“Can you explain, Taehyung? Whatever I heard was true or not?”
Taehyung nods and agrees. A flower vase shatters near his feet and he can feel the anger Mr. Jeon radiating.
“How can you lie to me? You are hiding this for the last twenty one years? ANSWER ME!”
“I told him to hide this. I didn’t want Tae’s life like Jae. Being an omega is not his fault. It’s not anyone’s fault. He can have a good life too. Please let him live. I request you, please.”
“SHUT UP! I let him live like an alpha when he is an omega. Can you imagine what would have happened to him?”
“Uncle, it’s my entire fault. I am sorry. I will accept whatever you decide for me from now on.”
Mr. Jeon becomes silent for a while and sits down in his seat. Jungkook can’t hold the anger anymore. It’s not any sin that he is an omega. For what exactly, he is going to be punished? Jae is hiding behind Jungkook and shivering in fear.
“Taehyung, whatever I am going to decide, you have to accept and that’s final.”
Taehyung nods and hangs his head down.
“Get married, Taehyung.”
