Walker's POV

I'm currently at the airport getting through security, for a plane to Chicago. To be honest I'm just a bit more nervous than excited. The only person I've really met in person in the cast would be Jennifer Garner, I was in the Adam's Project with her. I've met McKenna Grace but just really as a mutual friend from Aryan. The group chat has been texting A LOT and from text, they all seem pretty fucking funny.

I walk into airport section 3B where I board my flight and I sit down. I began to doze off a little because the flight was early and departure wasn't for another 45 minutes.

It might've been about 10 minutes or so when I heard a soft voice hovering over me.

"Walker?" I hear a girl ask, my eyes are still blurry from my nap so I can't quite tell who it is.

"Hey, Hailie" I realized it was Hailie, the main girl in the new movie. I was already nervous meeting her but seeing her in person made me even more nervous.

"Hi, I didn't know you lived in downtown Pennsylvania?" She said, clearly surprised to see me as well.

"I don't live downtown but like an hour away from this airport," I say trying to hide my red face from the embarrassment of her looking at me while I was sleeping.

"Wow, we don't live that far because I'm about 30 minutes from this airport." She mentions which shocks me a little.

"Can't believe we've never met before we live sort of close to each other," I say in a little disbelief, I mean Hailie has the type of beauty that if you see her once in your life even you'll remember her for a while.

"Yeah me as well." She remarked as she sat to the right of my seat.

We talk more for the next 30 minutes. It turns out we have a lot in common. We talked about Deadpool 3 predictions and Star Wars analysis, the nerdy stuff that I like talking to people about. Everything was surprisingly easy with her: talking was easy with her, and listening was easy with her.

The plane started boarding and we were saying our goodbyes. Unfortunately, she was staying in a completely different area than me.

I find my seat successfully and the plane is off.

I guess I should watch something to pass the time I click "on" for the TV but it just stays blank. I try it again but it gives me nothing. No matter how many times I hit "on" the TV screen just stays blank.

"Umm ma'am," I say to the flight attendant passing by "I think my TV is broken, could you look at it?"

"Oh I'm so sorry for the inconvenience let me see what I can do," She says in that sophisticated voice that sounds weirdly nice.

She tried fixing the TV but it was clearly broken so she offered me to sit somewhere else, I liked.

Hailie

That was my first thought.

Hailie's POV

So far the flight was fine, I was watching 13 Going on 30 and everything was working. Well, clearly not for everyone because Walker came up from behind me.

"Hey Hailie, guess what?" He asked me with a cheesy smile on his face that made me a little happy to see him.

"What?" I ask warmly.

"My TV in my original plane seat was broken so the Flight Attendant lady let me sit wherever as long as it's in business or Economy." He explains, "Sooo, I was wondering if you would let me sit next to you?" He asked a little nervously, which I think is adorable.

"Of course Walker," I pat the seat on my left signaling he can sit down.

"Thanks, Hails."

We sat next to each other silently for the next hour watching our movie. I noticed he just finished his movie and I also did so I tapped on his shoulder.

"Hey Walker, want to watch a movie together." I offer.

"Oh hell yeah, what should we watch?" He asked, excitedly.

"Let's watch 10 Things I Hate About You 100%, its the best movie ever " I confidently remarked.

Little did she know he knew that she thought the best movie ever was 10 Things I Hate About You. Right after chemistry auditions he single-handedly stalked all her socials, just because he was interested in her.

"Okay, I'll pull the movie up on my screen and you can scoot over." He spoke, as he lifted the arm rest separating our seats.

I scooted over a little bit so I could see his screen. He gave me the left earbud and he kept the right one, so we could both hear the movie.

The movie started but only 20 minutes into the movie I realized how much significantly closer we've gotten. We started with our legs lightly touching but now our shoulders pressed together. I leaned over and rested my head on his shoulder and leaned against him. He looked right at me, put his hand on my blonde hair, and leaned back against me.

My heart was going at the type of pace that has you concerned for your own health. I started to get worried my heart was beating so fast he could hear.

Still in the back of my mind, I remember no dating until you're rich and successful. But maybe it's time to leave that behind.
