a/n- my computer hit my head while writing this and I might have a concussion now😿

Walker's POV

"Hey guys," I announced to Brady, McKenna, Hailie, and I, they all faced their attention towards me "Want to go to the river today? There's a nice one about 1 hour away from us. I thought it might be nice because it's the weekend."

"Yeah sure, that sounds fun!" Hailie exclaims all bubbly-like, which is one of my favorite things about her, just her enthusiasm and the way she smiles. Her smile alone can make my day better.

"Ok, I'll drive. Walker text me the location." Brady says, and McKenna agrees as well.

We're all currently hanging out in the girls' hotel room. The convenient thing about our hotel arrangement is that Brady and I share a room and McKenna and Hailie share. Those two rooms are connected by a split bathroom that we share in the middle of those two rooms. It's pretty nice.

Brady and I walked back into our room and got our stuff ready for the river, I packed my swim trunks, a change of clothes, and money just in case we go to Taco Bell (we always go to Taco Bell and Hailie ALWAYS without a doubt orders a chicken quesadilla.)

We were waiting on the bed as we waited for the girls to finish getting ready.

"True or false you like Hailie?" Brady asked looking up at my phone as he analyzed my facial expressions like he was trying to solve me.

I was caught completely caught off guard, any hint of tiredness I had was now out of my body. I stammer for a moment and suddenly my tongue feels heavy in my mouth.

"Um, well, I, uh..." I begin, my voice cracking slightly under the weight of his emotions. I clears his throat, desperately trying to regain his composure.

In that moment, every word I ever wanted to say to Hailie rushed to the forefront of my mind. I want to tell her how her laughter lights up his world, how her smile makes my heart skip a beat, how I can't imagine a day without her by his side.

All I could muster up was a slight nod and a flustered smile and I'm sure my face is red and now my palms are basically sweaty.

"I knew it! Walker, you can't hide anything. But lucky for you I genuinely don't think Hailie knows and I think for sure she likes you as well." Brady whispers back, excited.

"First off, Brady you CAN NOT tell anyone like this is serious. You know how everything could get if I mess this up, it could really mess up some stuff on set." I say still in shock that I admitted that to Brady. "Second of all even, if she did like me, she's not really open to dating because her ex ruined everything for her. So, I've decided I can settle for 'best friends.'"

He just shook his head

Translation: dude you have no game.

Hailie's POV

"READY!" McKenna screams, loud enough so the boys across the door are sure to hear her.

Brady gets his keys and we head out, all excited to spend the day at the lake. I brought an adorable blue bikini that matches the color of my eyes, that I'm really excited to wear. Also, the weather is borderline insufferable from how piping hot is since its summer.

We all get in the car, Brady driving. McKenna was in the passenger seat and me and Walker in the back.

I pulled out the book Walker bought me for the long car ride "Better Than The Movies" So far from the book I've gotten the fact that it's like a cute rom-com book. It's adorable for sure.

"Walker, you're a genius," I say to him, with a grin on my face.

"Oh, am I? Yesterday I thought I was a dumbass," He teased now he was grinning even bigger.
