Hailie's POV

I was dreading today because Emma described it as an "all work no play" day. Which sucks because she told me no morning walks with Walker, and then gave me a playful wink. The shipping between me and Walker has been going on for a long time, each time we just roll our eyes and say "We're just best friends," which is true but something always has sounded off to me about that sentence.

McKenna and I met Brady and Walker in the hotel lobby so we could walk to the set together which was right next door as we talked about the long day of filming.

"Right, so today Autumn (my character) finds out that Finny (Walker's character) is dating Sylvie (McKenna's character,)" Brady explains to us "That's the first thing we'll film, and then the dynamic between Jamie (Brady's character) and Autumn because they just started dating."

(if this doesn't make sense it doesn't need to)

"That doesn't sound like it'll be too much," I say, confused as to why they're having us work so much today if they're aren't exactly that many scenes.

"Well, these are all the scenes that start up the complications of you two characters" McKenna points to Walker and me "and how you guys are in love with two different people, so I guess we're doing a lot of takes because of how important these scenes are." She explains.

Walker and I nod our heads in understanding and walk the rest of the way debating about stupid stuff like Chic-fil- versus Chipotle.

Walker was about to film the scenes of him and McKenna kissing, which gave me an uneasy feeling. Made me queasy as if I was sick but not. I push down the vague feeling of sea sickness and decide to focus on my makeup artist who's doing my touchups as I watch my cast members.

"SCENE!" The director screamed as the cameras started rolling again focused on Walker and McKenna.

If it's written in italics then it's acting

Walker- Finn

McKenna- Sylvie

"Sylvie I love you and I forever will, you don't have to worry," Finn says as he has Sylvie's face cupped in his hands. He stares in love.

"I love you too, Finn," Sylvie says as she kisses him, smashing their lips together.

"SCENE!" Director Ethan yells "That was amazing Walker and McKenna, we will only have to re-do that scene 1-2 more times just to make sure we have the best take.

I felt a pang in my chest as I watched Walker kiss someone else, I knew it was just for acting. I was going to have to kiss Brady for acting. But I just felt weird like I was spiraling. I watch in silent agony as they re-run the scene, I feel my heart break more and more. I breathe in for composure.

But through the pain, I found clarity. In watching Walker's kiss with McKenna (scripted or not) I can finally realize the depth of my feelings for him. I feel like a veil had been lifted, revealing the truth of my feelings that have been pushed into my heart this whole time.

Because I like Walker Scobell.

"Good job, who knew you were quite the romance actor?" I say to Walker as he walks off-set, for a short break.

"Thanks, Hails. I've become pretty good at romance scenes. The Percy Jackson fans had a pretty high standard for Percabeth." He chuckles as he sits down and takes a sip of the water that I offered him.

The jealousy I felt only a couple of seconds ago isn't completely gone but faded. That's the Walker Scobell effect, he just makes me feel better about anything no matter the situation.

"Yeah, I'm new to romance so this is like a first to all this for me," I mention, that all my previous projects have been Marvel movies or Disney kid TV shows like Sulpher Springs. This is almost like my first really grown role. The lead to a romance movie sounds pretty mature to me.

"You're great Hailie, really you're an amazing actor. I remember during chemistry auditions you stepped out and even in our little time frame, you were so memorable." Walker says, "When the producers asked me who I wanted to be the final cast, I had to say your name."

I felt a rush of warmth spread through my chest at Walker's words. I had always been passionate about acting, pouring my heart and soul into every scene and acting role I've ever done. To hear her Walker compliment something I've worked so hard on is something I will treasure forever.

a/n- crazy short chapter but I thought if an important moment like this deserved it's own little moment.
