I rolled along the ground as Phoenix Respite flew from my hand. Cid was smiling, "I expected more from the Dominant of Phoenix. Dante, surely that isn't enough to keep you down?" Gritting my teeth, I rushed at him again, fusing both of my guns into their sword modes, and slashed at Cid left and right. He parried both and sent a blast of lightning at my chest, sending me flying back against a tree. I slid down it, muttering, "Ow..". Cid walked over and helped me up, "Not too bad, kid. But not good enough". I took his hand as he helped me up, "You really are strong. That blast hurt like a bitch", I said, rubbing my chest, and Cid patted my back. "Who's next?" Cid asked as Summer and Pyrrha walked onto the little arena we had made. "Alright, Pyrrha, show me what you got!" Summer said as Pyrrha held her new spear she had yet to name. The two girls rushed each other. Pyrrha went for a straightforward flurry of stabs that Summer avoided. On the last one, Summer did a backhand spring, kicking Pyrrha in the chest and sending her back a bit. Summer then fired a couple of shots from her weapon. Pyrrha spun her weapon, deflecting the shots.

As Dante, Cid, and I watched the girls spar, I saw Summer look over and smile at me with a wink saying something to Pyrrha that made her take more of an aggressive fighting style, but that blinded her from reason, making her leave herself open as Summer took advantage of this and kicked the spear from pyrrhas hands holding out her weapon out at Pyrrha "you lose" Summer sighs as Pyrrha sighed realizing she let Summer get in her head "damn!" she said Summer motions for me to go to her as I go up to her "hey Summer what is it?" Summer cups her hand around my ear and whispers, "Me and Pyrrha had a little agreement to let me join your harem you got going on, and I know a friend who would love to join your friend Dante's harem. She's got red eyes and black hair." I blush as Summer kisses my cheek and walks off. "ALL YOURS CID!"
I draw flametounge off my back as Cid draws his sword as he enters the arena. "let's see what you got (Y/n)." I nod and rush him but jump back, sending three fireballs at him, not so much him but the area around him as he laughs. "think you need to work on your aim, kid," he says, "but do I really?" I snap my fingers as a colossal explosion erupts and engulfs Cid. "Those fireballs had dust crystals in them," I smirked as Cid coughed as the smoke cleared. "Well, color me impressed, but that won't save you," Cid says as lighting bolts crash down on me as. I just barely dodge them. Before I could recover, Cid was in my face, his sword swinging for my chest as I sent out a flame pulse, pushing Cid back. "Bravo," Cid clapped, "let me show you what a dominant can do after years of training." Cid has electricity run around him as he punches the ground, entering his semi-prime.

I take a step back from him, entering his semi-prime. As I go to enter my semi-prime Cid snaps, a cluster of lighting crashes down on me before I can react, resulting in a massive explosion as I lay on the ground in pain, unable to get up. "what the hell...was that.." I dropped my sword, my strength leaving me as I blacked out. The last words I heard were, "CID!!! You didn't have to do that!!" from what I assumed was Summer's voice
