Dread in the air

Narrator POV

Lionheart sits in his office with his head in his hands. As Ultima, Arthur, and Hugo walk in. Arthur speaks up. "Are we ready?" Lionheart lifts his head to look at the group ahead of him, Hugo who has a pissed off expression clinches his firsts "I will kill those two with my own two hands!" After which the four soon enter a secret hallway adjacent to the office. At the end of the curved hallway is a circular room containing a seer Grimm. "After you" watts says as he pushes Lionheart closer to the Grimm as Ultima and Hugo stand near by. "Your grace, are...you there?" Lionheart speaks nervously. The red smoke-like substance contained in the head of the seer Grimm shifts to form an image of Salem and cinder fall at their location in the Land of Darkness. As Salem speaks "hello, Leonardo. Do you have something to report? Oh? And I see Ultima and Hugo are there too..I take it the dominants survived then, seems like Tyrian wasn't lying then..." Lionheart clears his throat as Ultima nods "yes, mythos and Phoenix have survived the fall...but it is no matter I shall fuse with mythos soon enough isn't that right...Odin?" As Ultima says this on salems side Barnabas walks up. "That is right my lord.." Salem then turns to Lionheart. "Your report what is it." Lionheart quickly perks up "I've...I've found the spring maiden..." hearing this Salem gains an amused expression. "'Is that so? Well done, Arthur, had I known how useful you'd be in expediting this process, I would have sent you long, long ago."

Ultima then speaks up "me and Hugo shall me taking our leave to deal with Phoenix and mythos once they arrive" with that the two vanished in a blue magic swirl. Watts then speaks up "as much as I'd love to take credit, ma'am, I can't say that either of us are to thank for this development. I Geuss you can say a, little birdie told us." This caught Salems attention. "Explain." She demanded. As Lionheart spoke up "you see ma'am with the dominants being alive still they didn't not travel alone, they were here with Qrow branwen. He believes the spring maiden has taken residence with his sister's tribe." After this cinder speaks up "is...the girl....with them?" Arthur nods. "Yes, Miss rose was in attendance with them" Salem turns to Lionheart. "And you know of the tribe's location?" Lionheart nods. "Yes ma'am! But you must hurry! Qrow and ifrit's dominant are already at odds with my—" Salem makes a face of annoyed concentration and in response one of the seer grimm's tentacles shoot out to wrap around Lionheart's throat and choke him. "Leonardo, do you remember the first time we met? I remember. I remember your fear. But, since that day you've been extraordinarily brave. I won't forget all that you've done for me. Do not forget everything I can do to you."

The seer Grimm slowly brings the point of another tentacle close to the face of Lionheart before drawing it back. Within the orb of the seer Grimm, Salem makes a gesture, and the tentacle simultaneously releases him from the chokehold. Lionheart coughs and gasps for air. As Salem addresses cinder. "Cinder, you and your team will meet with Doctor watts, and together, convince Raven bradwen that the survival of her people depends on her cooperation. Once you have spring under control, escort her to the relic and contact Hazel. The white fang was promised the destruction of haven, and they will have it once we have what we need." Watts nods. "Understood." Not you, Arthur. Tyrian is in need of a new tail." Arthur gained a confused expression as he inquired. "What happened to his old one?" Salem simply spoke. "Geuss." Arthur knew and spoke. "The dominants and the silver eyed girl?" Cinder looks stern and grunts in acknowledgment. "It will be done" Arthur spoke. "Good." Salem responded, as her image from the seer grim vanishes meaning the connection has ended. Watts turns to Lionheart and speaks. "Seems Qrow was right, Lionheart. The students AREN'T Push overs let alone the dominants."

In the land of darkness cinder is clearly unhappy as Barnabas leans against the wall near by in his armor with a smug expression, Salem then addresses cinder. "You're free to speak your mind." Cinder then speaks up "I don't understand. Working with bandits? Keeping Ruby and the dominants alive? What's the point? We're strong enough to take what we want by force!" Salem then responds. "Never underestimate the usefulness of others. Take Leonardo; he was one of Ozpin's trusted and yet now?" She chuckles before continuing. "As for the dominants, they are not of our concern leave them to ultima he has promised us great power for the surrender of mythos to him, you will have the power I promised you, When the time is right. But remember that it comes with a cost. If ruby rose has learned to harness her gift, then you must take care to protect yours. There is only so much I can do to aid you." Cinder then bows to Salem then goes to leave before Salem addresses her once more. "And cinder, before you go inform Tyrian...I wish to have a word with him." Cinder smiles, nods in acknowledgment of the order given, and leaves the room to inform Tyrian.

(Y/N) pov

I was in the living room of the cabin we were in. As Oscar was talking with everyone about his trip over here, meanwhile i eventually tuned out and was nodding my head to a song in my head as I hummed softly. "back to the kitty cus she's kinda pretty. I can't stop looking at her ti-ti-ti- face!" I feel an impact on the back of my head as I turn to face what hit me as I see summer with an unamused expression with her arms crossed. "Don't be such a boy!" I rub my head where she hit me. "It's a song!" Summer then huffs. Whatever. just pay attention!" I sigh and nod. "Fine...wait dose Pyrrha know where we are staying?" Nora then leans over. "She sent me a message saying she's going to remain with her parents for a while." I hum in acknowledgment as I try to listen to Oscar's explanation of him and Ozpin heading over here but get bored of it and made an excuse. "Alright, well I got some stuff I need to get to repair my other sword I'll be back." As I say this the others nod then Ruby jumps up. "I'll join you!" Summer placed her hand on ruby's shoulder and shakes her head no. "Ruby I'll be going with him." Summer gives me a knowing stare as I gulp, then we head out the door to the shops of the surrounding area. Summer the. Spoke up as we walked "you know (Y/n) that song you were singing...I know it that's why I got mad it would leave a bad impression on her." I blinked a few times as I looked her dead in the face, with a blank expression. "You know she saw Pyrrha, Penny and Cid die right? Even though Pyrrha was revived."

Summer sighs. "I meant in a different way." I face palm. "The fuck you mean a different way what's worse then watching not one but three of your friends die right in front of you it was hard for me with cid I can only imagine how bad it is for Ruby with Pyrrha, penny AND cid." Summer shakes her head before responding. "Look I'm just trying to keep her pure." I snicker before busting out laughing. "Summer I'm sure Ruby appreciates that but I think it's far too late for that seeing 3 people die before your eyes can't be easy on a person. Sure, Ruby is resilient but even the most resilient of people can break it's like even one day atlas will fall." Summer can't come up with an argument and just sighs in defeat knowing I was right. "Just...I want to try and make up for the time I missed." I smile taking her hand in my own."well rather then trying to protect her from what's bound to happen why not try to make memories with what she has now." Summer smiles softly. "Yeah you're right.."
