21-year old Taylor trudged up the steps of her childhood home, lugging her suitcase behind her. She was finally home for a little bit during her high school reunion.

"Honey, we've missed you!", Andrea exclaimed, pulling her daughter into a bone-crushing hug.

"It's good to see you, too Mom!", Taylor said, setting her bags down.

"It's good to see you, sweetie. Let me take your bags into your room", Scott said, kissing his daughter's cheek before heading upstairs with the bags.

Taylor sighed, finally alone in her childhood home. She looked at the marks on the wall from when her dad would measure her before bed each year on the night of her birthday. She saw the twin bed that she had slept in since she switched from a crib to a normal bed.

Memories of her and Travis's time that they had previously spent together in this room flooded her mind. The good and the bad. She remembered sobbing after he broke up with her, but she also remembered him holding her close, kissing her as he told her that he loved her as she fell asleep on his chest. Even to this day, she couldn't find a partner that was as good to her as Travis was to her.

She sighed, sitting on the bed.

Suddenly, Andrea knocked on the door. "Honey?", she asked, knocking.

"Come in!", Taylor called.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I just wanted to see how you've been".

"I've been good. I mean, college is finally out and I've graduated but I still have no idea what I want to do", Taylor sighed.

"I get it. And you don't have to know what you want to be, believe it or not. When I graduated from culinary school, I wanted to be a famous chef, not a mom. But here I am, opening a small bakery here in town and being a mom to you and your brother", said Andrea.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. I want kids but I want a career, too", reasoned Taylor.

"As you should. But it's ok if you only want one or the other", said Andrea.

"Yeah, I know mom", said Taylor, hugging her mom once more.

"Ok, I should probably get ready now. The reunion starts in an hour", said Taylor.

Taylor pulled on a loose light pink strapless dress, curled her hair and put it into a half - up half - down style. She wore white heels.

At the bottom of her heart, she had gotten ready to impress Travis in case he was there. She hadn't asked her mom if Donna had said anything about Travis being there, but she couldn't be too careful.

"Bye mom", said Taylor, hugging her mom.

"Bye sweetie", waved Andrea.

"Bye now. You look beautiful sweetie", Scott said, his blue eyes shining as he gazed at his little girl.

Taylor arrived, parking her car in the familiar parking lot of her childhood. She sighed, calming her nerves before entering. Taylor hoped that the popular girls didn't show up with their billionaire husbands and their beautiful genetically modified blonde-haired blue-eyed children.

Taylor picked up her small black purse and slung it over her shoulder, locking her car.

From the distance, Taylor saw a tall handsome man enter. Her heart dropped to her stomach. It was Travis.

"Hey, you're Taylor, right?", a female voice called from behind her. Taylor dropped her gaze from Travis from the distance to the woman.

"Yeah, you're Abigail, right?", Taylor asked. She and Abigail had been friendly in school, saying hi in between classes or sharing pencils if needed.

"Yeah. And may I just say, you were gorgeous in high school, but girl, you are stunning. Do you model or something?", Abigail asked, joining Taylor in walking into the high school together.

Taylor laughed. "No, I don't model. I actually just got a record deal, but I have yet to make music for it. I'm just scared I"ll lose it because when I didn't have the record deal I could write music anytime, but I'm sort of in a funk. No inspiration I guess", Taylor answered. "What do you do?"

"Oh. It's kind of embarrassing. I work from home and manage the finance for a small company so I can be at home with my two year old son. I had him really young. He wasn't planned, obviously", Abigail said, her cheeks turning a little red.

"That's nothing to be embarrassed about. You were the smartest in math class so you must be a good accountant. What's your son's name?", Taylor asked, opening the door for her friend.

"His name is Nolan. He's a cutie", Abigail gushed.

"Awe. That's a cute name. He is lucky to have you as his mama", smiled Taylor.

They entered the gym together. It was fairly packed; over half of their graduating class there.

Taylor hoped that Travis would find her, but she also hoped that he didn't. She didn't want to relive her old pain, but she wouldn't mind having a conversation with him.

"Why are you staring at that eye candy of a man?", Abigail asked Taylor, nudging her friend.

"Who?", Taylor asked, being drawn out of her trance as she sipped her alcoholic beverage.

"Don't play dumb", said Abigail, rolling her eyes.

"Fine. That's my ex Travis", huffed Taylor.

"You should go talk to him", suggested Abigail. Flashing lights and music buzzed around them.

"No, I am not doing that. He probably has a hot girlfriend who would kill me", defended Taylor.

"So you? Are you blind because, girl, you're stunning", complemented Abigail.

Taylor blushed. "Thanks".

Taylor found her old group of friends and chatted with them, but suddenly she felt a tap on her shoulder.

She turned around to see a familiar face.
