Previously..."Travis, that's him..."
"Who?", Travis asked, feeling Taylor squeeze his hand tighter.
"The creepy man", Taylor whispered.
"OK, thanks for letting me know. Let's just hustle out of here, OK? We're almost there anyways", Travis suggested.
Taylor nodded but fear plagued her eyes.
She bravely trudged alongside Travis down the remaining flights of stairs. However, their attempt to get out of the building unannounced was a failure.
The blue-eyed blonde-haired creep turned his attention away from the old man in the front office and looked at the family in the lobby, familiarity written all over their faces.
He excused himself and exited the office to meet the new family.
"Hello and welcome to the apartment building! I'm Joe and I'd be happy to help with anything you guys need", The man said. His friendly tone made his demeanor even more creepy.
Travis looked over to Taylor and saw fear in her eyes. He squeezed her hand as a sign of reassurance, reaffirming his protective nature over his wife.
"I see we've met", Travis stated plainly.
"Have we?" Joe said, fakely pondering the question for a moment. "Oh, you're right! We met briefly in the street but I had a nice little chat with your wife".
"If you come close to my wife when I'm not by her side ever again I will make it so you never walk again. Understood?", Travis said with firmness in his voice. Nobody looked at his wife's breasts but him or whenever she breastfed one of their babies.
"My friend, why the harsh tone? It was just a conversation, that's all. Don't worry, she's all yours", Joe said, winking at Travis and giving him a friendly nudge. Only then did Joe notice how much taller Travis was than himself and how he really could beat him up with his pinky.
"Don't play me for a fool. She told me how uncomfortable you made her and that is unacceptable", Travis stated.
Taylor felt tears welling up in her eyes. "Travis?" Taylor whispered, signaling that she wanted to go.
"One second sweetie", Travis said, still making direct eye contact with the shorter man.
Taylor huffed and let go of Travis's hand, taking Lucy's instead. "Let's go kids", Taylor called, taking Lucy and Sawyer's hands while Cohen followed behind.
Travis noticed the warmth leaving his hand and looked at Taylor walking out the front door with their four kids.
"This isn't over", Travis said in an intimidating voice to Joe, quickly following Taylor out the door.
"Taylor sweetheart?" Travis asked, hustling behind her as she sped on the sidewalk, the kids barely keeping up.
"I thought you stupid men were going to have a jousting fight over me or something", she mumbled ahead of Travis.
"Taylor, did I do something?" Travis asked with genuine confusion.
"Travis, not now", Taylor said, slowing her pace down. She still had to take it easy considering she gave birth less than a week ago.
"Baby, please. I don't know what I did wrong", Travis pleaded with his wife, walking beside Lucy who held hands with her mother.
"Not in front of the kids, Travis", Taylor mumbled.
