Chapter 8

Without a second of thought, he let out a loud grunt and threw me over his broad shoulders pushing the thick black door wide open, storming past the burly alien man sat down, who didn't even flicker his eyes from his paper to see what the commotion was about. I tried to punch him, using every inch of force in my body to get him to release me from his grip but of course he didn't even flinch from my efforts. My screams echoed down the long hallway, men where stood drinking coffee and talking but they didn't even flicker in my direction instead they ignored my screams of protest and help.

Where is he taking me? Instead of killing me with his own bare hands is he going to chuck me out the door and let me die in space? In a weird way I would rather take the second option.

We reached a large oak door, branded by scratch marks and flickers of blood, where two aliens stood in their natural red form guarding the door. They are both extremely large men, their muscles bulged out of their tight black uniform and tattoos twisted down each ear all the way up to their necks. Tygriss did not have to utter a word, instead they swiftly shoved the doors open, holding them so he could walk past easily. His shoes bashed against the concreate flooring, as he carried me into a poorly lit room, the only source coming from a huddle of candles dotted on shelves around the room. The cold air brushed on my skin causing goose bumps to appear and the thin bit of clothing did nothing to help. As we walk deeper into the room I realise that there are no decorations or ordainments littering this room, instead it has been replaced by deep scratches on the wall. Some walls are covered by thick re enforced metal cages, locks and bolts on the doors to prevent individuals from escaping. Aliens in their true forms stand up from the small pile of hay that they where once resting on, to stare at me being hauled past their eyes scanning each part of my body.

They all look crazy, their eyes bloodshot and their veins are protruding out of their skin with very clear needle marks running on them. Some had fresh injuries, broken bones, black eyes, whilst others where covered in deep thick scars. On the back of one alien, whip marks where drawn all up his back some so deep it looked as though it had once been a large open wound.

"You wanted to leave the room, you wanted to be reunited with you lover so here you are." He snarls as he throws me onto the hard stone cold floor of the empty cage, slamming the metal door shut before leaving. Goosebumps covered my whole arms and legs and hand was bleeding heavily from grazing it when he threw me. The men stood there, still pressed up against the cold bars, there devilish eyes burning into my skin, as I moved further back into my own cage. An alien man was in the cage next to me, through the bars I could see him. His face was a beaten messy pulp, and his nose looked as though it had been broken, however the rest of his body had no scars nothing. "Z?" He asked shocked as I flicker my eyes over him, it must be Rynar although it is hard to recognise him after all the damage that had been inflicted on his body.

Over the past day that he had been in here, he had clearly taken a beaten from both Targriss and the guards. "Rynar, what did they do to you?" I ask concerned as he shakes his head, coming closer to the cage.

"Nothing I am fine, just a bit of shoving around. Nothing that I am not used to." He says as I reach my arm through the gap in the cage to take his hand. It looked infected, it is all cut up with pieces of hay and grout stuck inside.

"I am really sorry Rynar, I didn't know anything about the fact that he was my mate, he never told me." I tried to explain the pain evident in my eyes. I felt so guilty that all this pain had been inflicted because of my stupid decision. At the start if I had just been brave enough to except my fate, and ask who my mate was Rynar would not be in this predicament and neither would I.

"I do not hold any grudges Z, I should have know better than to go after his mate. But I could not bear to see such a beautiful women like you, be paired with such a brute like him." He says making me smile slightly. "However you have driven everyone to insanity." He says laughing.
