Nereus is the current king of Atlantis, with his wife Nuura and infant son Nalus. With his indestructible armor and the Atlantis Trident, he swears to protect his people from any treat. The Atlantids have maintained a secretive existence, avoiding direct contact with the surface world for millennia. However, occasional interactions with surface-dwelling civilizations have led to encounters with the SCP Foundation. While Nereus is wary of outsiders, he recognizes the importance of maintaining a delicate balance between their secrecy and the containment of anomalous threats that may arise from his domain.
Powers: -Atlantean Physiology: Possess all the capabilities, attributes and aspects at an enhanced level, beyond that of the peak members of their own species. With this condition alone, he can dwarf most beings on earth, being virtually supreme in his existential aspects and attributes. -Accelerated Healing Factor: Nereus possess a regenerative healing factor, meaning that he can automatically and rapidly flawlessly heal and regenerate from any physical, spiritual, and mental damage, attacks, harm, assault, and injuries they take and get restored to their optimal and full health/state at an extremely fast rate, especially when he's in the water. -Marine Telepathy: Nereus can perceive, manipulate or otherwise interact with the minds of marine animals, enabling them to mentally communicate with them as well as potentially read and control their thoughts, memories and emotions. It's important to note that Nereus has been able to do the same to humans in rare occasions. -Hydrokinesis: Nereus has the ability to create, shape, control/move, and otherwise manipulate water in all forms: whether sea or inland, salt or fresh, hot or cold, muddy or pure, hard or soft, flowing or standing, on earth or in the sky, above ground or under, outside or within living things, etc. -Night vision: Nereus has night vision, the ability to see in low light conditions or even total darkness. -Trident Proficiency: Nereus is innately a master of wielding tridents, pitchfork-like three-pronged spears used primarily for spear fishing and historically as a polearm. -Leadership Mastery: Nereus is a master of how to be a great leader allowing them to effectively keep order and morale. He has an intuitive mastery of the associated leadership skills, speech, tone and body language, expertly sending all the right signals, granting them major leverage in any social situation and allowing to easily forge a fanatical level of trust and devotion in whoever they exert these talents on.
Trident of the 7 Seas: The trident is an ancient relic forged to represent the might of Atlantis and its people. -Weather control: The trident grants the ability to manipulate the weather only to the king of Atlantis, users are granted complete control over the weather and natural disasters i.e. the meteorological phenomena. It grants Nereus an innate connection to the Earth's atmosphere, enabling to shape and influence various weather patterns on both small and large scales. This includes summoning rain showers or creating torrential downpours, and manipulating the amount and intensity of precipitation. He can also control the speed and direction of winds, ranging from gentle breezes to powerful gusts and even tornadoes. In addition, he can generate hailstorms, blizzards, or gentle snowfall, depending on his intentions. He can even summon lightning bolts and electrical storms, using them as both weapons and displays of power. -Lightning blasts: Nereus can use the trident to release electricity over a specific target area, causing great damage and/or delivering great shock waves of pure force. -Mystic Beams: Energy blasts with damaging, cursing, or healing attributes -Transmutation: The trident can alter or transform matter, power, energy, elements, objects, beings, etc. into anything else. -Invisibility: The trident can render Nereus unseen by the naked eye and become invisible in the visible spectrum. Nereus can move about an environment unseen by others and act without being observed. -Create fog: The trident can create fog, making it hard to see anything. Nereus could use the fog generated to blind his foes so he can escape. He could also use it to fight, hit and run as his foes cannot see them. -Force fields: The Trident can create a field formed from water. Typically centered on or around the user in a spherical shape like bubble. These Force-Fields are capable of blocking or impeding approaching objects and nullifying attacks, including physical and energy-based attacks or even repelling or reflecting them. -Ice Conjuring: The trident grants complete control over ice, frost, and cold along with freezing water into a solid state. As an elemental power, cryokinesis has a nigh-limitless number of uses, only limited by the user's imagination and their natural limits. They could release and channel this ice in the form of ice beams that freeze whatever it comes into contact with, or extremely rigid and durable ice walls and domes that can be used offensively and defensively. There's also the capacity to use ice in order to freeze one's opponents to death by trapping in ice that slowly kills their cells or shattering them to pieces once frozen. -Aquatic teleportation: The wielder can teleport via water, merging into a body of water of any size and appearing anywhere else from the same element. -Grants flight: Users who possess the trident can fly, along with the capability to glide, levitate or slide through space without external assistance. Nereus can achieve high speeds and maneuver freely while in flight -Creates Water and Earth Elementals: Nereus can create beings made of water and earth for assistance -Strength Bestowal: Nereus has the power to temporarily bestow super strength to the sea creatures he controls with the trident.
