~29~ The Battle of the Dragon Slayers

"The crowd is still going wild over our last match! But this next one is just as exhilarating!"
"This is it, come on, Sting. Rogue. You've got this," Sorella furrowed her brows, determination in her expression as she watched the four dragon slayers enter the arena.
"At long last, we've come to the battle that we've all been waiting for! One guild was considered the strongest in Fiore seven years ago! The other one currently holds the title! This is gonna be a great match! It's Fairy Tail's Natsu and Gajeel versus Sabertooth's Sting and Rogue! You're about to witness a showdown of epic proportions! These aren't just any wizards! They're dragon slayers!"
"I've been waiting my whole life for this," Sting smirked as he stared at Natsu.

"You can win this!" Sorella yelled from where she stood, all the way at the top of the wall.
She had confidence in them, and she knew that they heard her.

As soon as the gong rang, Natsu and Gajeel wasted no time charging towards Sting and Rogue, punching them across their faces at the same time. Sting ended up flying backwards and Natsu leaped after him, punching him again and Sting barely managed to land on his feet.
"White Dragon: ROAR!" Sting let out his breath attack when he managed to stable himself.
"A laser?!" Natsu was caught off guard, but he still managed to dodge his attack by a hair width.
Sting proceeded to drag his laser around the arena, trying to hit Gajeel, but the iron dragon slayer jumped out of the way.

"Shadow dragon: Slash!" At the same time, Rogue jumped towards Gajeel and winded his arm back as he was about to hit him, but he blocked Rogue by transforming his arm into a spiked iron sword before throwing Rogue into the ground with a smirk.

"ROGUE!" Sting called out to Rogue in concern, but as a dust cloud covered his vision he was shocked to see Natsu race over to him as he held onto Rogue's face, knocking Rogue into Sting as he lit his hand on fire. "Fire dragon: Wing attack!" Natsu's spell threw them both into the air.

"Woah! I can't believe my eyes! The illustrious Sting and Rogue of the mighty Sabertooth guild are quickly getting overwhelmed by Fairy Tail!"
Sorella (and she was sure this included her guild mates too) was alarmed to see how quickly both Sting and Rogue were overtaken by Natsu and Gajeel without much effort. The fight had barely started too.

Luckily, Sting and Rogue regained their footing and they powered up by a significant amount. Sorella wasn't entirely sure what it was, but she saw white and black auras surround them and she felt an immediate boost of power from the both of them.

That's more like it.
As she blinked, Sting moved quickly across the field and a bright white light came resonating out of his fist as he started to punch Natsu.
"Holy white judgement!" Sting continued to overpower Natsu with new vigour and he was forced to keep defending himself.

At the same time, Rogue took this new opportunity to ambush Gajeel while he wasn't looking; and when Gajeel turned his attention back onto his opponent, Rogue was too quick for him. He used his shadow travel abilities to avoid getting hit by Gajeel, often splitting apart so his fist phased through Rogue's body, then Rogue kicked him away.

Their white and shadow drives were no joke, Sorella realized as she kept trying to keep track of each of their movements. They were getting the upper hand, it seemed. Sting and Rogue both focused on beating their individual idols, and even so, their coordination with one another was on another level than before. They were really proving to everyone in the crowds why they shared a title. The title: Twin Dragons of Sabertooth wasn't just for show.
