—Recap—
Eventually, after running through hallways, up staircases, through rooms that made them tiny and rooms that made them big, they eventually ran through a peaceful field where the goal was just up ahead, and so they sprinted until the door was right in front of them. Sting wasted no time pushing open the door, and they were greeted by the pumpkin from the projection.
"Sting Eucliffe."
"Rogue Cheney."
"Sorella Alviena."
"Yukino Aguria."
"Rufus Lore.""Congratulations Team Sabertooth! You have made it past the Preliminary Round: Sky Labyrinth! And in first place too!" The mascot announced proudly as he congratulated them for their win.
"Damn straight!" Sting smirked.
"Of course, it's only natural that we would prevail," Rufus adjusted his hat.
"Head on through that door, and get yourself some well earned rest, because tomorrow will be the opening day of the Grand Magic Games!" The pumpkin man extended his short arm to reveal another door behind him, and as Sabertooth walked through the frame, they were brought back to Crocus Gardens.

Domas Flau Colosseum was roaring with cheers, the official start of the Grand Magic Games of X791 was about to begin and all three levels the spectator stands were full to the maximum capacity. Since seven years ago, the games have become a big part of Fiore's culture; it took place during the blooming season of Crocus' Capital City and lasted seven days with one rest day in between for the wizards that were participating in the games.
The idea of wizards from guilds all over Fiore getting together in one place to duke it out for the number one spot, became entertainment within its early years. And just as quickly as the Games had became popular, so had Sabertooth.
It was said that before the seven years Fairy Tail had disappeared; their guild was small, they had no namesake, no one had paid attention to them either; not when boisterous guilds like Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale, and Blue Pegasus existed.
But that all changed when the shift of power was handed over to Jiemma and five new wizards who changed the tides.
And now, was there a sixth new member of the top ten, and she got to experience the glory of being part of the guild everyone cheered for each year.
Chapati Lola was the Game's commentator, and each year was there always a new face commentating beside him.
"We're just moments away from the start of the Grand Magic Games, folks! I'm your lead emcee, Chapati Lola, and I'll be handling the play-by-play with former Magic Council member, Mr. Yajima," Chapati introduced both himself and Yajima as he spoke into the microphone, "Mr. Yajima, glad to have you here!" He greeted him, and Yajima responded back into the microphone.
"Glad to be here."
Then Chapati introduced the third guest speaker for day one's games.
"We also have here a Blue Pegasus member, and the current holder of the title, Miss Fiore, the ravishing Miss Jenny Realight!"
Every year, the games would invite a popular guest to sit inside the commentary box.
Supposedly, it brought up more ratings.
"Blue Pegasus is bringing home the gold this year!" Jenny cheered enthusiastically, and the Blue Pegasus fans all cheered as loud as they could, in support of their favourite guild.
"Now it's time to meet our competitors!" If it was possible, the roars of the crowd only got louder.
"First up in eight place, an old school bunch of wild wizards from Magnolia! They had luck in the prelims and are rearing to take back first place by force! It's Fairy Tail!" Chapati Lola yelled into the microphone, and as the wizards from Fairy Tail walked out expecting cheers, they were instead shocked and angered when the crowd booed for them instead.
