Sorella and Sting were laying in Sting's bed. Tomorrow was supposed to be the day they were to go back to Sabertooth and tonight was the last night at Crocus Gardens. As Lector was sound asleep, Sorella laid wide awake as she laid in Sting's arms, and even if he had tried to act asleep, she knew he wasn't.
"Hey, are you awake?" she asked and he replied with a grunt.

"I know this is going to sound weird but what scent do I have?" Sorella questioned, and without even opening his eyes, he answered her.
"Gardenia, vanilla, and almonds."
"Really?" Sorella never really had an idea as to what she'd smell like, so this was a surprise to hear.
"Sometimes you have a different smell coming from you," he replied and Sorella looked at him in confusion, but since his eyes were still closed, he couldn't tell.
He took her silence as an invitation to continue.
"You always have the smell of vanilla and almonds, but gardenia doesn't have one scent. Sometimes you have an underlying coconut smell, other times it's peach, and then once in a while its spicy," he elaborated.
"Oh," she responded.
"It's nice, I've grown to like those scents because of you."
Sorella felt warm all of a sudden.
"So everyone has a unique scent then?" She asked and he nodded.

"Lector smells like tangerines, Rogue smells like wood and musk, Frosch smells like pavement after it rains, and Natsu smells like a bonfire, but I think that one's pretty obvious," he gave her some examples.
"Yeah, that does make sense. Do you know what you smell like?"
"I don't, can't really tell because I got used to it and I've never asked Rogue either. But feel free to ask him if you really want to know," he suggested and she took it into consideration before replying.
"Maybe I will... I have another question though."
"What is it?"
"Can a person's smell change over time? Maybe even by wearing a cologne?" She questioned and he stayed silent for a moment, like he was thinking of an answer until he gave her a reply.

"Sometimes, but it's rare. Most people keep the same smell they have on them since birth. However one example I can think of is if that person gains an elemental type of magic that already has a smell. Like fire or water. But not even cologne changes a person scent... Sure, it just makes it harder for a dragon slayer's nose to recognize them, but those fragrances fade over a short period of time anyways."
"I see..."
"Why ask all of a sudden?" Sting questioned.

"I was curious, because both you and Natsu mentioned that I had some sort of scent, but I hadn't really thought about it until now," she shrugged one shoulder.
"Natsu?" Sting finally opened his eyes once his name was brought into the conversation.

"Remember when we saw him during the first night and you and Rogue were too busy gloating over being true dragon slayers or whatnot? I went to leave early but Natsu stopped me and said I smelled like Erza," she reminded him and he suddenly looked ashamed when the memory of acting like an asshole was brought back to him.
"Oh yeah..." He blushed in embarrassment.
"I'm not sure what she smells like, but he said it was similar and I wondered if close proximity or whatever rules influenced the scent of a person," she replied.
"I mean, maybe? But why would you smell like Erza?" He asked her and this time, she was willing to answer him.
"Are you awake enough to listen to me? Because I have a story that I want to share with you. It might be long though," she told him, and the sleepy expression he previously had was long gone.
"I'm awake," he confirmed and Sorella took a deep breath and then exhaled.

"Along time ago, there were two little girls named Soranna and Erza. They were sisters and Soranna was the younger of the two," she began to start to story and Sting shuffled in the bed.
"What?" He was confused as to what she was getting at.

"Many years ago, the two of them grew up together for a short time in some small village that was secluded from the rest," she continued, and this time Sting stayed quiet as he listened to the story.
"It was a peaceful community and all the villagers helped each other raise the children. As for the two of them, they lived in a small shack alone together with no parents, but an elderly woman would come by everyday to feed them," Sorella recalled as she stared up at the darkened ceiling.
"Then what happened?" Sting questioned as he turned to face her, but she made no move to look back at him.
