-Recap-
And just as it seemed like Mystogan was about to pull out his finishing move, Sorella's eyes widened.
The sky was about to turn dark, until it changed back to normal.
Mystogan started to crack up and he fell to the ground laughing. No one knew why.
Mystogan laughed so hard, Jura was appalled.
Everyone was bewildered.
Mystogan laughed so hard that he fell unconscious, and Lamia Scale gained their ten points by default.
"What the hell was that even?" Sorella muttered~ ~ ~ ~
Sorella was dumbstruck as she watched Sting through the giant lacrimatron in front of her, trying not to puke out his guts.
The second day of the Grand Magic Games had taken place and the opening event happened to feature chariots.
"Why did we let him go?" Sorella questioned in awe at his stupidity to participate in a game that featured his number one weakness. Vehicles.
"He heard Natsu was participating," Rogue replied plainly.
"That idiot..." she face palmed. As soon as Sting heard that Natsu was participating for his team, Sting immediately jumped at the idea of going against his former idol, and that was going to cost Sabertooth points.
But he wasn't alone.
As all the other representatives from the other guilds were way up at the front, racing for first place; Sting was joined at the very rear chariot by Natsu and Gajeel who were also blue in the face.Orga had decided to join them up in the stands today per Rufus' invite and his shock was very much evident too.
"What is he doing?! Is blowing chunks out his idea of entertainment?!" Orga's jaw dropped.
"It appears motion sickness has rendered them unable to move," Rufus observed thoughtfully.
No one who wasn't a dragon slayer had expected this turn out. Not even Fairy Tail. But while everyone from that guild was aware of Natsu's motion sickness, no one had expected Gajeel to succumb to the same fate. Even Gajeel didn't expect it either. This was his first time.
While everyone from Sabertooth and Fairy Tail shared the same sentiment for once, pondering the thought process running through their heads, the crowd around them were laughing.
This was top entertainment to them; three powerful slayers in their own right were getting bested by wheels."Talk about a textbook case of rotten luck. This game is about Sting's one and only weakness, so the other guilds don't know how easy it is for them," Lector commentated arrogantly.
"Yeah! Sting would win for sure!" Frosch agreed with everything Lector said. Frosch always did.
"Do all dragon slayers suffer from the same thing..?" Yukino questioned with concern.
"Yes, it would appear so. I thought only Sting and I suffered from motion sickness," Rogue admitted.
"Poor Sting..." Yukino frowned emphatically.
Sorella sighed, but what was done was done. The lacrima screens had then switched to showcase the other participants racing towards the finish line.
In the current lead for first place was Blacksnake from Raven Tail, but Ichiya from Blue Pegasus was closely behind him at second.
Rearing up behind them in third place was Yuka from Lamia Scale, with Rearing up behind them in third place was Yuka from Lamia Scale, with Risley from Mermaid Heel gaining on him at fourth place.
In fifth place was Bacchus from Quattro Cerberus.Yuka ran faster, gaining the lead between the three of them before casting a shock wave that nullified magic.
But that didn't stop the others from evading his spell anyways.
Risley changed the gravity around her and her body suddenly changed. She was more slimmer than before, and that helped her run against the side of the cart.
