—Recap—
"I've already memorized that spell," Rufus said. He landed gracefully back onto the ground again. "I'll counter it with memory make." The sky started to turn orange and the temperature rose up in heat. Rufus had turned the arena into a boiling pit.
"What's happening down there?" Chapati questioned.
"It looks like this fight is starting to warm up," Yajima observed.
"I'm sensing an incredible surge in magic power," Lahar added.
Molten lava started to grow around Eve in the form of volcanic rocks, surrounding him in a circle.
"Karma of the scorching!" Rufus completed his spell, and brought his hand down to the arena floor which split apart for lava to race towards the snow wizard.
Eve was sent flying into the air and had landed right back down quickly. His clothes were singed, his skin was bruised up, and he was laying on his side, body shaking.
"And that's the match, folks!"
Rufus was smug as always as he claimed victory for Sabertooth.
"Looks like this Holy Night is over, Eve is going to feel that one in the morning. That nets another win for Sabertooth's Rufus! The man is on fire!" Chapati announced.~~~
The rest of the battles featured members of both Fairy Tail guilds and both had caused a revelation for everyone watching.
After Fairy Tail B's Laxus fought Alexei from Raven Tail, it was revealed to everyone that the fluke of the battle they were watching was fake.
On the spectators end, they thought Laxus was getting a beating from the armoured man, but the battle was an illusion.
When the spell was broken on the field, it was revealed to everyone that Laxus had taken out the whole entire Raven Tail guild by himself.
Fairy Tail was a force to be reckoned with.
Challenge after challenge; for the last two days, Fairy Tail had proven time and time again that they could prevail.
And they did it at the extremes.
Erza showcased she could take on 100 monsters without fail.
Cana could summon magic that was on levels that the MPF couldn't even handle.
Laxus had no problems taking on five people in a fight without struggle.Sorella had no doubt that in her that they would continue to do so. They were now Sabertooth's biggest threat.
Now, Raven Tail... Since that battle broke the Games' rules, Raven Tail was disqualified immediately and they wouldn't be able to participate for the next three years.
She wasn't so sure if they'd even want to after that. But what was their goal? They couldn't have been there to just humiliate Fairy Tail, not even at those extremes.
Sorella pondered their motives, but in truth, those weren't her issues to bare. The next battle had since then taken place, it featured another Fairy Tail member. A young blue haired girl from Fairy Tail team A called Wendy, and she was up against another young girl from Lamia Scale, Chelia.
Sorella watched their fight with interest.
After all, the members of Fairy Tail piqued her interest.
They were talented, there was a spark of determination in them, there magic was like nothing she's had a chance to see before; and she's seen so much variety of magic and spells in her life.
As they both fought, it was soon revealed that they both had wind magic, and they were both slayers.
The only difference was that Wendy was a dragon slayer, and Cheria was a god slayer.
While dragon slayers were rare, there were currently six of them participating in this year's Games.
But a god slayer...
They were even more harder to come by.
Upon everyone finding out that Chelia had the power to slay gods, even Orga was shocked to his core that someone so young wielded powers like him. They both were determined to win for their guild and they went all out. Wendy had used a secret technique that blasted Chelia away, and when she recovered, Chelia also used a secret technique to retaliate against Wendy; but missed.
No one was sure how or why, but since none of their biggest attacks had took down their opponents, they both resorted to using their fists and feet until the timer ran down to zero.
Sorella was amazed at their skills.
Their fight had ended in a draw.
