Chp 35: Dad Beat Dad (Part 4)

In the creepy dark hallways, Charlie was showing her father about the interiors of the hotel. While Bella sticks behind the back of the group since she was getting tired of being upfront. Which means she was next to Vaggie.

"So, once we have the proof that redemption is possible, this whole hotel will be full of demons wanting to check out into heaven! We just need a little time to prove it. The sharing circles haven't been working as fast as I hoped." While Charlie was in the middle of explaining everything to her father, Husk calls Alastor from out of nowhere.

"Hey, boss. Can I have a word?" Husk asks.

Bella's hear this and turns a bit to see Husk talking to Alastor.

Alastor stops and twists his head 180 degrees to have his face turn to him before his body rotates. While Alastor was doing that, Bella told. Vaggie that she needed to quickly do something and promised that she will be back. Vaggie nods and Bella quickly hides in the corner, watching the two.

"What is it?" Alastor asks in slight irritation.

"You and I both know Mimzy only shows up when she needs something. That bitch is trouble, and who knows what kind of demon she fucked with to come running to you this time?" Husk tells Alastor.

"it's nothing I can't handle. Don't worry Husker. Who in their right mind would cross me?" Alastor asks.

"I mean, you've been gone a while, and it's not like anybody knows why." Husk says.

Bella couldn't help but grow a slight frown. When Bella first met Alastor and heard the story of him from Vaggie, she was very curious and wondered why he was gone for such a longtime. Bella comes back when Alastor speaks to Husk.

"They don't need to know, and don't you worry your fuzzy head about it." Alastor says, he than rubs Husk's ears which angers him.

Husk growls and says, "You may own my soul, but I ain't your fucking pet!"

Alastor chuckles and says, "But you are! Haha!"

Alastor turns around to join back with the tour. Bella starts to panic until Husk whispery says, "Big talk for someone who's also on a leash"

Bella silently gasps in knowing exactly what Husk meant by that because the next thing she thinks about is, 'He's on a leash by another overlord?!"

Suddenly, Alastor immediately halts after hearing this, his eyes turned into radio dials. The lights in the hallway flickered from his anger rising. Slowly, Alastor looks over his shoulder to Husk.

Bella starts to get chills all over her entire body. She subconsciously takes a few steps back.

"Aha, what did you say?" Alastor asks in a threatening tone.

Before Husk could even respond, a green chainpulls his neck before he's forced down. He realizes what he's done and tries to come up with an excuse.

"Fuck! Nothing! I, uhm..." Husk tries saying but gets chocked up.

Alastor slowly approaches him with the green chain twirling from his mic-stick. The more he steps closer, the lights flickers on and off from his anger.

Bella worriedly creates an invisible shield over Husk, it sadly didn't work since the chain that Alastor has on Husk broke it.

"If you ever say that again, I will tear your soul apart and broadcast your screams for every other disrespectful wretch who dares to question me!" Alastor threateningly tells Husk.

Bella gulps and prays that Alastor doesn't hurt Husk.

Alastor's threat makes Husk shiver in fear when he realizes he had crossed too far with him.

Husk scared mutters a, "Understood."

The lights turn back to normal, and Alastor is back to his old jolly good self.

"Lovely." Alastor than chuckles. "Good talk, my good man! Always nice to catch up."

Alastor leaves the shaking Husk on the floor. Bella quickly runs off, without knowing she left a strand of her hair behind in the midst of her running off.

Husk was too scared to even move, and was left shivering in fear. While Alastor was walking, he spotted a strand of hair. He picks it up and looks at it and sees that it was freshly plucked out, his eyes widened a bit when noticing that the strand was brown with a golden streak in it.

Alastor clutches it and keeps the strand, he sighs and mutters to himself, "Seems that there maybe another one that knows my secret..."
