Chp 38: Dad Beat Dad (Part 7)

Outside, Alastor has finished massacring the mafia as he shrinks back down to his usual self, now satisfed that he's killed a lot of demons today.

"Oh, I missed getting to let off steam!" Alastor says to himself.

Mimzy checks outside if the coast was clear before approaching to Alastor.

"Oh, Alastor! What a fantastic show! Bravo! As always. Thanks for helping lil' old me out of a tougher spot, you're always such a pal!" Mimzy says.

A railroad debris falls close to Mimzy, making her back away in surprise.

"Oops. Heheh... sorry about the mess, but I'm sure the little bug can take care of it for you." Mimzy says.

"I think you should go Mimzy, now." Alastor says as Bella approaches the duo.

"Oh pff, Alastor, you're such a kidder you! Haha, you are so funny!" Mimzy says thinking that Alastor was making a joke.

"I mean it. You deliberately brought danger to this place just to have me clean up your mess. I can't have that here." Alastor tells her as Bella watches the interaction.

Bella couldn't help but be shocked that he would tell Mimzy that.

"But you love taking care of me! What, you don't actually give a shit about this tacky place, do ya? Come on, I know you." Mimzy says as she pokes his chest with every word in the sentence.

"You" She pokes his chest, "heartless" She pokes his chest the second time, "son-" She poke his chest the third time, "of-" pokes his chest the fourth time, "a-" She pokes his chest for the last time, "bitch~"

Alastor casually moves her finger away. He moves around Mimzy before standing in front of her with his microphone stick placed in front.

"You are welcome if you actually want to give redemption a shot, but I think we both know that's not really your style, so you need to leave." Alastor tells Mimzy.

Bella couldn't but smile, happy that Alastor actually does want the hotel to kind of work out.

"Fine! Who needs you? Have fun with your little princess and your little hotel! See if I care!" Mimzy angrily says, insulted and offended, Mimzy turns around and flips Alastor off before walking away.

Bella approaches Alastor, "Didn't know you can do that, um turn into a big giant demon thing ha ha." Bella says, Alastor looks over at her.

"Indeed I can, but anywho me and you need to have a little...chat." Alastor tells Bella as she looks at him in confusion.

"About what?" She asks.

"About something that is, personal to me. Come along." Alastor says as she does what he ask of her.

The two finally reach somewhere secluded, Bella leans her body on a wall as Alastor just stands up right.

There was a few minutes of awkward silence until Alastor.

"Now that we are somewhere, private...I have to ask...we're you there when me and Husk were having that dispute?" Alastor asks.

Bella freezes up as she silently gulps, she quickly thinks of an excuse.

"Oh, I didn't know you guys had one, hopefully it wasn't too bad-"

"Stop lying" Alastor tells her as Bella stops talking, looking bugged eye for a quick second. "I know you were there when me and Husk talked."

"B-But how? I never once saw you see me-"

"It was your hair that gave it away, My Dear." Alastor tells Bella as he grabs the strand of hair and reveals it to Bella.
