"His heart skipped a beat as he stared at her sleeping face, her calm expression contrasting his rapidly building panic. The realization hit him suddenly, and he jolted upright, careful not to wake her. Without a second glance, he hurried downstairs to his room, his mind swirling with confusion. A few moments later, Abhi stirred, stretching lazily before noticing Satakshi beside him. Nudging her gently, he woke her up, and both of them exchanged sleepy smiles. They went back to their respective rooms to freshen up. When Satakshi entered her room, Darsh was just stepping out of the bathroom, his damp hair falling over his forehead. Seeing her, he avoided making eye contact and quickly busied himself with his wardrobe. Satakshi grabbed her clothes and headed into the bathroom, the interaction passing without a word."
AT BREAKFAST:
"The family gathered at the dining table, the aroma of freshly made parathas and tea filling the air. Abhi entered the room, stretching his arms, and Meenu raised an eyebrow at him."
Meenu, teasing: raat ko sleeping pills khaakr sota h kya tu?
Abhi, confused: nhi toh, q kya hua?
Meenu, chuckling: baapre, kitna uthaya kl tum dono ko, pr ek bhi nhi hila. Chlo, satakshi ne km se km '5 min aur' toh bola. Pr tu toh kumbhkaran ki trh soya pda tha.
Satakshi, apologetic: sorry maa. Woh hum bas terrace pe view dekh rahe the... pata hi nahi chala kab aankh lag gayi.
Meenu, smiling: are beta, koi baat nhi. Main toh bas is Abhi ko dekh ke hairaan hoon!
Rajiv, laughing: Agar kal ko chori ho gayi ghar mein, aur hum sab ghar par nahi hue... sirf Abhi hoga ghar pe. Toh, Abhi ko bhanak tak nahi lagegi. Ye soya rahega maze se aur chor chori karke chale bhi jayenge!
"Everyone burst into laughter at Rajiv's joke, except for Darsh, who sat quietly, lost in his thoughts. He couldn't shake off the memory of waking up so close to Satakshi or the strange impulse that had made him sleep between them the night before. Finishing his breakfast quickly, he excused himself and left for work. After breakfast, Satakshi's phone buzzed. It was her mother calling. Smiling, she excused herself from the table and went upstairs to take the call. As everyone began wrapping up breakfast, Meenu couldn't help but notice Darsh's distant behavior. She turned to Rajiv with a puzzled expression."
Meenu, concerned: ye darsh ko kya hua? subh se kuch ukhda ukhda sa lg rha h.
"Before Rajiv could respond, Abhi chimed in, shaking his head dramatically."
Abhi, mock exasperation: aap logo ne mujhe kl uthaya q nhi?
Meenu, laughing: bola toh tu uth hi kha rha tha. Pr tujhe ab kya dikkt ho gai? thk toh h soya tha.
