IN THE EVENING:-
"Darsh entered the house, the usual hustle and bustle of the day replaced by a peaceful silence. He immediately noticed how quiet everything seemed, the soft lighting casting a warm glow around the empty living room. His eyes searched the space for a moment before he spotted Manoj Bhai passing by."
Darsh asked, his voice low but filled with curiosity: Manoj Bhai, Satakshi kha h?
Manoj Bhai paused, giving a respectful nod: Ji, Bhabi ji toh room pe hain.
Darsh gave a small nod, his expression relaxing: Aur dinner?
Manoj Bhai replied: Abhi bhaiya toh aaj apne friend ke ghr gae hain, aur Bhabi ji so rhi hain shayad.
Darsh said, his tone soft but decisive: Thik h, aap dinner lga do.
"Manoj Bhai nodded once more before heading towards the kitchen. Darsh, meanwhile, made his way upstairs to their bedroom. As he opened the door, his gaze softened. There she was, fast asleep, nestled under the covers with her chest rising and falling in gentle rhythm. The sight of her made something in his chest tighten, the affection he held for her bubbling to the surface. Quietly, he walked over to her, crouching beside the bed. He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek."
"The touch stirred her awake, her eyelids fluttering as a sleepy smile spread across her lips. She blinked a few times, and when her eyes focused on him, her smile grew."
Satakshi murmured, her voice thick with sleep as she lazily wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer: aap kb aae?
Darsh smiled back, brushing a stray strand of hair away from her face: Bs abhi abhi aaya. aapne dinner kia?
Satakshi shook her head, her arms still around him: Aapka wait kr rhi thi. Aur wait krte krte aankh lg gai.
"Darsh's heart softened even more. She'd waited for him, as she always did. He leaned in and pressed his forehead against hers."
Darsh explained, guilt lacing his tone: Sorry, bccha. Meeting late over hui, aur aaj bhot kaam tha.
Satakshi gave a small, tired smile, rubbing his neck gently with her thumb: It's okay, bccha. You're home now.
Darsh gave her a warm smile, his thumb brushing lightly across her cheek: Ab main fresh ho ke aata hu, tb chalte hain dinner krne. aap tb tk thoda aur so jao.
"Satakshi nodded, closing her eyes again as she let herself relax. Darsh pressed a soft kiss to her forehead before getting up to freshen up. After a few minutes, Darsh returned, freshly changed and ready. He found Satakshi waiting for him, her sleepy eyes now more awake but still carrying that relaxed, peaceful air. Together, they headed to the dining room where dinner was laid out. The quiet clinks of cutlery against plates filled the room as they ate, the comfort of being with each other making the evening feel whole."
