Sydney.

What a beautiful name for such a beautiful place. The weather, a complete opposite from the places they had been, caused Maliah, who was very sensitive to such things, to develop a cough and cold. It was terrible, but after a lot of convincing and scolding from all of them and Declan, she had agreed to stay back just for that part. Declan decided to stay back with her to take care of AV and her while the others went down — which meant Grover was even more anxious than before.

"Grover?"

Percy walked out with Annabeth from his room, the sound of his best friend pacing up and down the hallways having alarmed him. The satyr was constantly rubbing his head and the back of his neck, his hooves clacking like thick heels of sorts as he looked like he was on the verge of a panic attack from the mere tension of the situation. He wore a dark green shirt, which was crumpled from him rubbing over his stomach and chest as well.

"Yeah? I'm fine, I'm totally fine!" He said immediately, trying to keep his heart from reaching cardiac arrest levels of pain.

"I gotta take care of so many people. I'm totally fine, I'm totally NOT freaking out!"

He said, while freaking out.

"Grover!" Annabeth exclaimed as she stepped forward and gripped his arm to stop him from moving, just so Percy could grip his shoulders and hold him in place.

"We'll be fine buddy," Percy assured his friend, squeezing his arm tightly.

It had been about 8 days since they had last left the AV and it was showing on their faces and bodies. The lack of vitamin D for their skin and bones meant they had grown paler, all of them, with their energies slowly starting to deteriorate. Sometimes they were starting to feel the depression creeping in. Luke had started to have nightmares again, Percy had almost reverted back to his own violent PTSD attacks — if not for Declan changing the rules to accommodate people being in duos in the rooms so any accidents could be prevented.

Luke was busy putting on his fanny pack and packing the extra money he needed for the entry into the Opera House, just in case the money Declan had already given him didn't fill in everything that was needed. His curly brown hair was neatly set down, slightly wet from the shower he just took. Too lazy to wear something nice, he had worn a light blue shirt with a pair of black jeans under it. His hands worked fast, sorting through the things he'd need just in case — too busy to notice the girl who was leaning against the doorframe.
