The arrows rained down..
But not at them. The air crackled with tension as the arrows sailed forth, each one a swift harbinger of destruction as they found their mark among the swooping mass of Stymphalian birds. With lethal precision, the celestial projectiles cut through the chaos, sending feathers scattering in their wake. Amidst the tumult, the boy's voice rang out, commanding his allies in a relentless barrage of orders, his words floating out into the Parsian air with a pitch that sounded like some enchanted command.
"ΣΥΝΑΧΘΗΤΕ. ΟΙ ΟΡΝΙΘΕΣ ΔΕΝ ΘΑ ΑΦΗΣΟΥΝ ΤΟΥΣ ΘΝΗΤΟΥΣ. ΚΑΘΑΡΙΣΤΕ ΤΗΝ ΠΕΡΙΟΧΗ!" The boy commanded, two fingers gesturing towards the mortals who had stopped being attacked by the birds which were starting to hurl towards the group now, clearly pissed off. It was unclear if they were serving the God killer now, because the ones with the bow and arrow clearly were.
The birds wouldn't attack their allies right?
Annabeth's gaze locked onto the boy's weapon, a gleaming golden-plated bow that seemed to shimmer in the fading light, its elegance belying its deadly purpose. With a subtle gesture, she directed Percy's attention to the weapon which bore stark resemblance to the golden bow of Apollo, the sun emblem seated right by the boy's hand as he too rained his arrows on the birds.
Despite the emblem of the God killer emblazoned on his Greek armor, a symbol of Olympus marred by a deep slash, the boy's shouts continued, now towards Annabeth in particular.
"ANNABETH. YOU ALL, LEAVE. THEY WILL BE EVEN HUNGRIER AND ANGRIER IF THEY SENSE A CHILD OF THE BIG THREE!" The boy screamed as he swung his bow at a bird who had jumped too close to him, sending it flying backwards with a 'cawwwww'!
....how did the boy know her name?
Percy was even more creeped out as he held riptide out to the boy, his voice cackling in warning.
"Don't you dare use her name!" He roared, the name of someone he cared for so much rolling off the tongue of someone wearing the symbol of a killer striking some deep seated disgust in him.
Grover's eyes looked at the boy who stood so high up, those baby blues mixed with grey seemingly looking back at Grover pleadingly. The satyr searched for signs of insincerity, signs of hatred..But he found none.
There wasn't a single amount of anger he felt from the boy towards them, just a sense of immense surprise towards the birds who just didn't want to stay dead.
"Percy!" He said, his voice quaking in urgency. "We need to leave. The guy's right, the birds will peck your eyes out!"
Declan, who had been pushing mortals out of the way for many birds, heard what Grover said and immediately turned his head towards Percy and Maliah...and then Y/n. He was no fool, both he and Grover knew the amount of power these three radiated.
