The book started as a joke, a genuine dump of my delusional thoughts and scenarios while listening to a few songs (while in the shower, obviously).
The fact that it has managed to come this far honestly baffles me, but I can't deny the way it has helped me grow. My English, my composition and ability to write and imagine interactions has improved severely. After being out of the writing scenario for 2+ years, I was genuinely very anxious when I sat down to write the first chapter.
I look forward to telling the story which this has turned out to be, the various upcoming plot twists and turns are already starting to itch the back of my head.
To the friends who listened to me talking about the book even though they had no idea about Pjoo/Hoo, to my cat who let out the loudest meow when I asked him if he wants to be in the book, to all of you wonderful people who read the story till now- thank you so so much. I love you all from the bottom of my heart (but I'm still not sorry for no kissing in the book. 7 feet apart for jesus.)
I really enjoyed writing the book, I'm sure you can tell by the way I was hyped halfway just to have things work out. The Roman numerical chapters, the very subtle hints towards the identity switches and the spread out yet somehow parallel backstories- they were a work of a lot of caffeine and me blabbering with GhostRudra . I hold the characters very dear to my heart and I hope I can portray them well in the future as well- Maliah especially, who is based completely on my best friend from an old school. Miss her sm:( I'll also definitely avoid mythological monsters' influence because the entire point of the series is to show how people can go down different paths when faced with the same situation but offered different kinds of help. A fight against monsters is cool, but fighting your own half siblings? A nightmare, truly. And I really really enjoyed showing Luke's mindset after he was reformed halfway. Does it make sense with canon? No, not really- but that's the fun about teenagers on wattpad.
Also idk English, I can ignore certain parts.
I promise the next book will have a lot of Thea and y/n interactions since the warmup of the threat/scenario is done in the book. Also- luke and y/n. Rivals to friends?
The concept of thea and y/n is a lot like fight club according to my friend (I had a fight with him, told him it was like 'bad and crazy', felt so dumb when I realized bad and crazy was a remake of fight club) and honestly I see it?? Except it's more mythology based?
We'll meet again, in the next book. The book may be over but the story isn't. The book after this will contain much more graphic and sexual scenes, including (gasp) sex and lewd imagery. Read at your own risk<3.
