Regulus woke up feeling more grumpy than ever, just thinking about having to deal with the sunshine radiating off Potter was exhausting. He got up, a tight frown on his face.

"What got up your arse today?" Barty snickered, fixing the collar of his white shirt in the mirror.

Everyone else had already left for breakfast, leaving the three to themselves in the dorm, hence Barty taking his sweet time with the mirror.

"I have to tutor James Potter from today," Regulus says, as if the name brings a bad taste to his tongue.

"What? Why?" Evan asks, confused.

"Apparently, Professor Slughorn is already starting to pick people for the slug club, unfortunately, we were chosen."

Evan groans. "This is why I didn't want to enter fourth year. Now we have to attend these stupid parties, with these stupid idiots who believe themselves to be masters at Potions."

Regulus rolled his eyes, and continued, "Slughorn also wants me to take Advanced Potions. What Potter needs of me here is tutoring him. since he's, unsurprisingly, shite at Potions."

"What do you get out of it?" Evan asks; always asking the right questions.

"I need his help with transfiguration." The lie falls out of his mouth, flowing down his chin with easiness. He rolls his eyes to emphasize his words. "Since he's basically the best in the school, and a year older too."

"But you're barely losing any marks." Evan frowns.

"Father had a fit over it. I can't afford him being mad at me again."

"Oh, of course. We wouldn't want our little Reggie to disappear." Barty says, puckering his lips as if he was giving him a kiss. Regulus only looks at him with a sour expression on his face.

They were having breakfast, and regulus already wanted the day to end. The lack of anything interesting happening making him irritated.

"Why are you brooding around, Lu?" Asks Pandora in her dreamy voice.

"Yeah, Reg, what's got you so pissed off this early?" Dorcas adds, looking up from her food, abandoning the carrot she picked with her fork on the porcelain plate.

"He's got a little study date with Potter." Barty snickers, pulling his hands together and fluttering his eyelashes.

"Fuck off, Crouch." Regulus sneers.

"Wait, why? He asked you?" Dorcas asks, a confused frown on her face.

"What? You don't want your new noble friends interacting with us? Are we contagious—"

"Shut up, Barty." Evan cut him off, he didn't want another fight to be made over the same thing; Dorcas finally finding better friends. "Potter needs his help in Potions, Reg needs his help in Transfiguration. That's it." Evan explains.

Dorcas hums, obviously ignoring the comment Barty made. Her attention is back to her food almost immediately, avoiding the chance of Barty making more comments.

Pandora doesn't seem to buy the excuse he gave to the rest of them. She glances at Regulus from her position next him, and whispers, "I know that's not the only reason you agreed to help Potter, Regulus. Tell me."

Shite.

"What do you mean, Dora?" He whispered back, his tone filled with fake ignorance.

"Regulus." She insisted, her voice stern.
