Mikrokosmos [Reader x Lucifer]

Chapter Ten

A month has now passed, and the dreadful extermination day has arrived. You watched Adam collect his army of exorcists through the window of Sera's office. "Sera, you o know that what Adam is doing is going against the deal with Lucifer? The deal states to only exterminate sinners, hellborns and his family is to be excluded." You spoke to Sera as you continued to look through the window in disgust.

Sera turned around to look at you and she looked very upset and angry. Sera spoke rather aggressively as she said, "I'm aware. Adam has started to go against this deal ever since the whole trial fiasco took place."

Sera continued to speak angrily and she seemed very upset about this. "I'm not sure if you know but Adam is heel-bent on exterminating Charlie because he thinks she is the only one that is keeping the hotel running."

"So please let me go down there as well! To stop him if it ever comes down to that!" You begged. "I know Lucifer the best out of everyone here. If Adam were to even put a single scratch on his daughter, he will not hesitate to kill Adam. This will cause war between hell and heaven all because of Adam's idiocy!"

Sera looked shocked and surprised as you said this. She hadn't anticipated you wanted to be on the frontline to prevent this war between heaven and hell. "You want to be there to prevent this possible war that is going to happen between heaven and hell?"

"Who else will you call upon? Michael? Yeah he may be the one in charge with dealing dilemmas between realms but he's not here is he? Azrael and Gabriel are both also away and busy doing fulfilling their duties. I am the only one available."

era got a sudden realization upon hearing you mention who was away and who was available. "You're right, all three of them are currently away. You are the only one left...Alright, then. Just don't die on the battlefield, you hear me?"

"I promise you I won't!" You responded. Looking back out the window and taking notice of Adam and his army has now proceeded to descend to hell. "It has started." 

You then summoned a sphere where you could supervise and watch what happens in the extermination. "I will only come down there if Adam proceeds to break the deal with Lucifer, meaning if he attacks Charlie..."

Sera then nodded her head and agreed with you, she knows that if Adam breaks the deal, then it is very likely that Lucifer is going to retaliate. She kept the sphere in front both of you as you watched Adam and his militia begin to arrive in hell. She then spoke softly as she said, "I truly hope that you don't have to get involved, but if you do, then do take this." Sera handed you a weapon for you to use, just in case you had to enter the battle. "This weapon should be able to hold off Adam's army for a long time while, it should give you at least some time to be able to deal with Adam if you need to." Sera continued to speak calmly and quietly.

"Thank you." You replied as you took the angelic spear from her before returning your focus on the fight going on. "You're welcome and please do be careful."

The two of you continued to watch how the fight is going, as Adam and his militia seemed to be ready for this potential fight that was to come. The view of the Hazbin Hotel came into view in the sphere.

You watched as Adam obliterated the Cobra snake demon, which then caused Charlie to take charge towards Adam. You kept watching very closely as you witnessed Adam strike Charlie away, to which she landed on her hotel's rooftop. Sighing deep and in disappointment, you picked up the spear and spread your wings apart. "Alright then, that's my cue." You were about to take flight when Sera spoke up.

"Wait! I do want to ask you one thing, what if you get really severely injured, to the point that you might even die? Adam's army is very strong especially Adam himself. We have no idea how far he's willing to go if you were to be involved. What will you do?" Sera suddenly spoke, seemingly concerned for your well-being.

"Then I will die stopping Adam. And I don't want you to blame Lucifer or anyone in hell for that as it is all Adam's fault we're in this situation in the first place."

Sera looked at you and nodded her head. In a soft tone, she said, "I undertstand. I wouldn't blame Lucifer for anything, because this is all on Adam, none of this would be on Lucifer as he would only be simply protecting his daughter.Adam broke a deal with Lucifer and if you happen to die, that is solely on Adam. I understand your decision and I respect it."

"Thank you, Sera" You spoke to her before heading down through the portal and into hell.

Lucifer had just arrived to the fight as Adam had split the hotel in half, in hope of getting rid of Lucifer. You could see Lucifer save his daughter from falling. Adam was then flying towards Lucifer and Charlie, about to strike him as he had his back turned towards Adam, but you had managed to intervene with Adam's attack.

You had successfully stopped Adam from striking Lucifer with the angelic spear Sera had given you, saving him and Charlie. You looked at the scene in front of you and you noticed just how dangerous and powerful this battle was becoming. It seemed like Adam was not going to give in even with Lucifer being there as he was flying all around the battlefield trying to find a moment of weakness he could exploit.

"Y-Y/N? What are you doing here?" You heard Lucifer ask. You turned around and gave him a bright smiled as he was flying and was still carrying Charlie in his arms. 

"Hi Lu! I'm sorry for Adam's actions...I'm here to stop him as he broke the deal with you." You continued to smile as you gave Lucifer a loving and caring look.

Lucifer looked rather relieved to see you, when he heard you say that you are here to stop Adam, he started to smile. He finally placed Charlie down and she now stood at his side. Lucifer then turned his eyes back to Adam who kept on flying, looking for an opening. "Y/N, thank you so much for coming here to help us, I really appreciate this. And like the archangel you are, you were able to intervene at the right time."

"No worries Lu! I was the only archangel available so yes, here I am, dealing with Adam as always." Y/N groaned.

Lucifer smiles warmly and seemed to find Y/N's comment amusing

Lucifer said in a teasing tone, "I'm guessing you have dealt with Adam quite a bit before this moment then?"

"Oh you know the drill." Y/N chuckled. Y/N was completely distracted talking with Lucifer that she had not noticed Adam was making his way towards her to attack. His golden axe raised in the air as he flew towards her. Lucifer was also distracted as he was laughing away the comment that Y/N had made. 

This moment was interrupted as Adam noticed that Y/N was the only person on the field who wasn't paying attention to him, and so he decided to strike while the iron was hot. The distance between the two parties was slowly decreasing. One, in rage. The other distracted.
