"You order?" Rory questioned as she entered the Inn, Harley following in tow. "Oh, just coffee. God, I must've been sound asleep when you two got home last night.

"You were snoring like a buzz saw." Harley snorted. "I believe that's defined as a superfluous comment." Lorelai quipped. "Yes, you were sound asleep."

"So, I'm dying to hear about your night with Sherry. How was it? Give it to me, A to Z, beginning to end, soup to nuts."

"Well, she is what she seems." Rory shrugged. "Details please." Lorelai fished for more. "She's a very cautious driver. She doesn't roll through stop signs, doesn't speed, she always signals before she turns."

"Hm. Commendable, but not the person I want driving our getaway car."

"What are we robbing?"

"Sephora. We had it all planned out."

"Right, sorry. Slipped my mind." Harley nodded. "What's her music taste?" Lorelai quizzed Rory. "Big Bruce Springsteen fan. Seen him like twenty times."

"That's an unexpected choice." Connor snickered. "Blue collar roots or is she just slumming?"

"Oh, her father owned a shoe store and her mom taught kindergarten." Harley answered. "Wow, you guys really got into some details."

"She was definitely in bonding mode." Rory agreed. "What else, what else?"

"She's very touchy-feely. Hand on the shoulder, lots of hugs."

"She didn't try to get fresh, did she?"

"Gross!" Both girls let out in unison. "Go on." Lorelai waved. "Um, she's had one prior serious relationship in her life and it lasted eleven years." Rory supplied. "Eleven years? And she never got married?"

"She said she never thought about it with her career and all, but now she's thinking about it more and more." Harley informed with a smirk. "Tick tock, tick tock." Connor snickered.

"And the past couple of years she hasn't even dated anyone unless she thought that for sure it could be a lasting relationship, and she's got some specific goals now concerning children."

"Oh, here we go." Lorelai perked up. "She wants at least two, and before she met Dad she was seriously considering single parenthood." Harley spoke. "That's wanting kids."

"That's about it."

"Yeah?" Lorelai deflated. "Oh, she works for Loreal. I've convinced her to snag me some free samples and whatnot." Harley remembered. "Good girl."

"We're tapped. How was your night?"

"Oh, well, fine. Just took Mom a whole five minutes before she self-combusted and left the room in tears."

"What? What did you do to grandma?" Harley accused. "I didn't do anything, I swear. She freaked out that you were with Sherry, can you believe that?"

"She freaked?"

"Totally. She kept calling her that woman'."

"That's never good." Connor spoke up. "Well, what did she think, that you were gonna come home and find a rabbit boiling on the stove?"
