The next day after the dance Harley arrived home to anarchy. Rory had fallen asleep with Dean in Mrs. Patty's dance studio, causing chaos among Lorelai, Emily, and Rory.
"Things are seriously so tense with Rory and mom, and now Rory's mad at me because technically I spent the night with my date as well but no one's giving me a hard time, and on top of all of that Rory can't find the baby Jesus' arm so I'm stuck making one out of paper-mâché." Harley ranted as she walked with Spencer through the streets of Stars Hallow.
She kicked at the rocky pavement below her. "Lorelai doesn't know that Sadie and Connor are siblings?" Spencer questioned as the two entered Lukes.
"No, I did. Everybody knows. Grandma knows." Harley explained as she entered Lukes. "What do you want?" Luke questioned Harley as she stood at the counter.
"Two extra-large and super hot coffees to go," Harley smiled at the man, knowing he hated her coffee addiction. "And two muffins," Spencer added. "Ooh, yeah. Do you have any chocolate chip left?" Harley questioned before Luke frowned deeply and turned away, causing Spencer to chuckle.
"So, your Grandma isn't upset with you?" The blonde shrugged. "She thinks it's just darling that we're all so close and it's not like we were sleeping alone in a barn together," Harley explained before being handed a cup of coffee and a brown paper bag of muffins.
"So, what's the deal with you two anyway?" Spencer puzzled as he held open the door of Luke's open for Harley to exit. "Who?" Harley questioned, her brows furrowed. "You and Abercrombie." Spencer's eyes rolled at the thought of Connor.
"Connor's not as stuck up and snobby as you'd expect," Harley defended. "He wears sweater vests willingly." Spencer countered. "Nothing's going on with us, we're just hanging out." Harley shrugged, a hand self-consciously fiddling with the bracelet around her wrist.
"Really? So you're telling me that there is absolutely nothing going on between the two of you?" Spencer spoke as he looked over at the girl with skepticism. "Okay, maybe it's not entirely rated E, but it's still very PG," Harley admitted. "You can't date that guy, H, I mean he screams douchebag."
"You saw him for like two seconds." Harley's brows furrowed at Spencer's words. "Dean spent the whole night around him, and he-" Spencer was cut off by the blonde. "You talked to Dean about Connor?" Spencer ignored her question. "Dean said how he got into that fight, which had nothing to do with him. Only stuck-up snobby kids fight for the fun of it."
"He got punched in the face trying to help Dean," Harley argued. "And then he laughed and punched his 'best friend', who just so happens to be a huge ass that harasses Rory every chance he gets."
