"Mom!" Rory shouted as she entered her mother's room, a look of sheer panic upon her face. "What? God. Hi." Lorelai spoke as she awoke. "What are you doing?" Rory questioned her mother as Harley stood by the doorway. "What is she doing?" Harley barked as she spotted her mother. "Having a heart attack."
"I thought you were up, it's 7:10!" Rory continued, ignoring her mother's joke. "What?" Lorelai groaned. "It's 7:10!" Harley shouted as she ripped the pillow away from her mother. "Stop it. It's a quarter to 6:00."
"No, it's not." Rory continued to argue with her mother who was late. "I set the clock for a quarter to 6:00 so it's- it's 7:10." Lorelai panicked. "We can't be late on our first day of school!" Rory panicked. "Do you know what happens to people who are late on their first day?"
"It's shorter." Lorelai tried to joke. "For the rest of the year, they're labeled the late girl," Rory stressed as Harley ran downstairs to warm up the car while they continued to bicker.
Honestly being late didn't bother the blonde much, less time she'd have to spend acting as if she cared about school, but Rory cared so much and she was her twin sister.
They were born together and they would fight every battle together no matter how small.

"I remember it being smaller," Harley spoke as she peered up at the large building. "Yeah, and less," Rory finished for her mother, "off with their heads."
"Yeah." Lorelai sighed as she tilted her head and peered up at the building "What are you looking at?" Harley questioned her mother. "I'm just trying to see if there's a hunchback up in that bell tower."
"So, how do I look?" Rory questioned. "You look great. You both look great." The older woman smiled proudly at her daughters.
"Really?" Rory smiled."Really. You are an amazing kid. You've earned this. You two just go in there and show them what smart really is. I love you both, call me if you need me." Lorelai tried.
"You're kidding, right?" Rory questioned after looking back at her sister for a moment. "No. Call me if you need anything, I'm great at making up dirty cheers."
"You have to go in with us," Harley spoke. "Harley, come on." Lorelai sneered. "You have to meet the headmaster," Rory added. "Well, look at me, Rory. I can't meet anybody who does anything in there."
"Mom!" Harley barked. "No, I look like that chick from the Dukes of Hazzard," Lorelai spoke. "This is my first day, you are not getting out of going in there with me. Period." Rory insisted.
