"It's almost summer." Connor gave Harley a mischievous grin as he laid across her bed. "What'll we do with all of the free time not spent stuck in the confines of Chilton for eight hours a day?"

"We could have crazy ravenous sex." He suggested nonchalantly, but Harley let out a sharp shriek at the suggestion. "Connor." She scolded him. "Sorry, sorry. I mean we'll make love very passionately." He corrected with an amused chuckle.

"Summer doesn't mean all parental units fall from the face of the earth." Harley remind him. "That's kinda what summer means in the Blythe household, Goldie. Step Mommy will go to Spain with Henry, and Daddy will split his time between Mommy and Monaco. It'll be just you and me,"

"And Sadie." Harley added with a grin.

"Right. You, me, and Sadie." Connor gave a pained smile at the idea of Sadie third wheeling the entire summer. "Summer, Sun," Connor started. "And Sadie. Exactly."

"She's got her own boyfriend. She's got big girl college stuff to do." He tried. "On the list of things most important to Sadie, My name comes before Grant and Dartmouth."

"Don't tell Grant that."

"Travers know's his place." Harley waved the comment off. "Where am I on your list?" Connor questioned. At the very top, somewhere between Buffalo 66 and Abercrombie bikinis."

"Really? You're ranking me under Buffalo 66?

"It's a great movie." She giggled. "I think someone needs to learn their place." He scoffed, pulling his hand away teasingly.

"Relax, bear. You're at the tippy top of my list, and this summer we'll have tons of ravenous sex. I promise." Harley whispered, pulling his hand back.

"You can't say things like that." He collapsed back, his eyes closing momentarily. "Right, sorry. I mean passionate lovemaking." Her eyes ignited with that mischievous golden fire that Connor loved so much as her lips connected with his knuckle, their hands intertwined.

"We ought to go ahead and elope this summer." He proclaimed, staring up at her in awe as he clutched his chest with his free hand. He swore that for a moment his heard had actually stopped. "Alright."

"Alright?"

"Mhm." She nodded, a toothy grin on her face as his thumb brushed against her nose. "But first, we have to pass our finals." She gave his knuckle a teasing bite before sitting up, pulling her book bag off the floor and into her lap.

"No, no studying. No homework." Connor whined, refusing to get up. He did however let the hand that Harley had just dropped move to her thigh.

"Just pretend we're lounging in the Hamptons reading awful rubbish girl pop magazines. Hey, actually, speaking of studying." Suddenly the book bag was dropping back onto the ground with a thud.

"Jess is flunking all his classes,"

"Am I supposed to be surprised?" Connor puzzled, but Harley ignored him. "The principal made Luke come in for a meeting and told Luke to get Jess a tutor or else,"

"And?"

"And so Luke asked Rory to tutor Jess." Harley beamed in anticipation, but Connor just gave her a few blinks of his lashes. "Luke asked Rory to tutor Jess because Jess is flunking all his classes. Jess is probably the smartest person I've ever met. Smarter than Rory, even."
