"So tell me, what adventures did Harley Gilmore of Stars Hollow encounter this weekend," Sadie questioned as she linked arms with Harley, the two walking down the halls of Chilton with a considerable amount of eyes on them.

"Well, I attended a cat funeral, then I put stickies on all the things I wanted in my grandparent's will, and then I spent the rest of the weekend being extremely passive-aggressive towards my sister."

"You two are still fighting?" Sadie puzzled as they walked past Rory, who didn't bother to greet her sister. "Does that answer your question?" Harley huffed before separating from the blonde and entering her first period.

"Hey, birthday girl," Connor spoke as he sat on top of Harley's desk. "It's not my birthday?" the blonde chuckled at the boy as her brows furrowed. "On the 27th of October at 4:37 in the morning, Harley Hayden Gilmo-" Connor read from the card in his hand. "What is that?" Harley cut Connor off as she took the card.

"Who else got these?" Harley questioned as she read the invitation her grandparents had sent out. "Probably everyone." Conner snickered at the blonde. "Oh god, Rory is gonna freak." The girl winced before the bell above her rang.

"Wow. Nice face you got on there." Lorelai joked towards Rory as both she and Harley entered Luke's. "Coffee." Rory groaned. "Bad day?" Lorelai questioned Rory. "I've now used the word 'sucks' so much that it's lost all meaning to me."

"Well, maybe this will cheer you up," Lorelai spoke before unzipping a garment bag and pulling out tulle. "What is that?" Harley questioned, a smile on her face. "These are our party dresses." Lorelai sung.

"So it's a Halloween party?"

"Listen. So I'm shopping today with your grandmother and it's a whole three hours of 'Who are you buying that for, Mom? Have you met Rory? Harley would rather die.' and then finally I talked and she listened and she wound up getting you both something I think you guys are really going to like."

"Really?" Rory droned. "Yes, really. And of course, she insisted on buying us these dresses, but I think I can do something with them to make them better." Lorelai buzzed. "Wow. I've never seen you so cheery after spending time with Grandma."

"Well, it's been a long time since we got together and didn't end up fighting. It was refreshing. It wasn't exactly fun but I didn't get that shooting pain in my eye like I usually do."

"Wow. That's great."

"So, I hear you're having a party Saturday," Luke spoke as she brought over two cups of coffee, handing one to Harley. "Yeah. Mom's famous for her blowouts." Rory finally smiled. "The best one was their eighth birthday."
