Ch 11: Sport festival Cavalry battle? I don't think so!

Wiz and Eraserhead were having a conversation as Boomstick shouted. “And that’s time! Hope you all got your teams together cause it’s time to begin the second event! The Cavalry battle! Care to explain to those that havent heard of it eraserhead?” Eraserhead sighed and sipped her juicebox before she began to speak. “Ugh, The Cavalry battle goes like this....” Izuku ignored what his sensei said as he thought of who he should have on his team. He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see Momo and Kyoka standing behind him as he saw that Bakugo had already gathered a crowd wanting to be on her team. Todoroki as well. “Did you honestly think we’d team up with anybody else?” Kyoka said as Momo gave a nod. “You forgot about me!” Ochako said from behind Izuku. Izuku smirked menacingly as he came up with a plan. “I’ve got a plan.” Ochako smiled and giggled at Izuku’s face as the other two girls had deadpan looks. Izuku took a breath and let his wings out. “Okay Uraraka-chan, Momo-chan you two are in the back. We need one more person to add to the team. With Uraraka-chan making me weightless I don’t feel bad about being the head of the horse.” Momo nodded and said. “It would make it easier for you to fly us up if you were the head of the horse.” A voice behind Izuku startled the others as the greenette turned. “I’d like to help you out Izuku-kun.” Izuku smiled at the redhead who was smiling at the horned boy. “Oh Kendo-chan, that’d be great your quirk would be great for defense and offense. I can use my new aspect to tell who’s gonna attack us and when.” The four girls had different expressions. Ochako giggled eyes sparking because Izuku was getting so strong. Momo and Kyoka had somewhat of the same thought. ‘He said he’s been having issues with blocking out people’s top thoughts. hopefully we can actually use that to our advantage right now.’ Kyoka blushed hoping he couldn’t read her mind on how she felt about him. Itsuka blushed but when he said something about a new aspect, she thought it was just his beautiful new wings. Izuku noticed the expression on her face and said. “Kendo-chan I gained two new aspects from the USJ incident. The metal wings of Archangel, and the powers of Dark phoenix. A powerful psychic of the prequirk age. I can read the top thoughts of the other students if I concentrate while we battle.” Itsuka nodded before she had a deep blush on her face. “Okay everybody time to start the cavalry battle!” Boomstick shouted as Eraserhead groaned from the man’s excitement. “Hope everybody’s got a partner or team cause it’s time to go plus ultra!” Wiz said as the other students were glaring at Izuku. Izuku thrust his wings out and let the purple fire of dark phoenix flare around him as if to say. ‘COME AT ME!’ Izuku floated up in the air as the girls got into position and took his position as the head of the horse. “Kendo-chan you and Kyo-chan are our front offense.” he then pulled a bandolier of web grenades from his hyper cube and handed them down to Ochako and Momo. “Let’s rock!” he said with a toothy grin as Midnight waved her crop and shouted. “Start!” immediately most of the groups converged on team Izuku. “Now!” Izuku shouted as Momo and Ochako started throwing web grenades as the greenette’s  wings popped out as he used his telekenisis to create a barrier blocking the other teams from reaching them. “Damn it Deku! Don't be a fucking coward!” Bakugo shouted as she shot an explosive blast against his barrier from atop her team. Sero sighed and said. “Why not just blast above the barrier? I can pull you back.” Bakugo nodded before the entire ring was encased in ice. Midnight shouted. “Wait!” She held her hand to her ear as the students stopped fighting. “Because of issues we have to start up a new game.” she tapped her remote and the screened flashed until a giant maze appeared with the words. “The Labyrinth! Each team will keep their headbands and enter at one of the 8 entrances. The leader of each team will wear their teams' collective headbands on their head, around their neck or on their forearm.  like the popular game Dungeons & Dragons, there will be challenges you must face aside from other teams in the maze courtesy of power loader and the third-year support course students. Hopefully you’ve chosen your teams wisely.” the students that made it to the second event were ushered back into the locker rooms until Cementoss had finished making the Labyrinth and the traps and challenges were put inside of it. It covered most of the arena and Boomstick was vibrating in his seat from excitement. “Eraserhead what is this next event we’ll be seeing? I've never heard of Labyrinth before.” Wiz said as Eraserhead got a phone call. She handed the phone to Boomstick to answer for her while she spoke. “This event was actually thought up by Power Loader, principal Nezu and Deadpool if you can believe it. Like Midnight said it’s just like a game of dungeons & Dragons. Each ‘party’ has their different skills and abilities and will face challenges against the other teams and the obstacles inside as well. Boomstick what did they.. Boomstick?” Boomstick was no longer in his seat and Power Loader was yelling through Aizawa’s phone. “Boomstick!? Tell Aizawa to come down here. We need one more person. Oh hey Boomstick.” Aizawa sighed and said. “Well it seems your friend has decided to help with the second game.” she shrugged as Wiz sighed and shook his head. “Okay the Labyrinth is all ready and the teams are now at their entrances. Let's get this second event started.
Midnight if you would?” Midnight smiled and winked at Wiz. “Thank you Wiz. All teams may now enter the maze!” She shouted, cracking her whip. Izuku and his team raced into the maze as Izuku said. “I could speed through the maze and try and find the exit but I wouldn’t want to leave you all behind.” Momo nodded as Kyoka put one of her ear-jacks to the wall. “There’s noise coming from everywhere. The closest team is down two corridors from our position.” Izuku bit his lip as he scanned the walls with his gauntlet and the goggles of his facemask. He then showed the girls the layout he created of the Labyrinth. “Okay, so here’s the layout and from what Kyoka said the closest team is over here.” he said pointing to where Kyoka said the enemy was. They heard a noise and saw a bunch of Izuku’s droids with pointy ears spray painted green holding wooden swords. Izuku stared wide eyed and glared. “Damn it that rat commandeered my pop-up droids. Hit the nose and they’ll go down quick.” he said as the droids began to run at them. Momo threw one of the web grenades Izuku handed her and a couple of the droids were caught in webs before Ochako whacked their noses. Izuku used the phoenix force to lift four of them, Itsuka and Kyoka smirked as they rushed forward taking advantage of the floating droids. Itsuka enlarged her right hand and flicked the noses of two of them while Kyoka used her jacks to hit the other two. They knocked the droids out and headed around the next corner before they hit a dead end with Ectoplasm waiting by a table with 4 silk bags. “Ah hello heroes in training. How's your calculations going Midoriya?” Izuku smiled as they stood before their math teacher. “Going very well sensei, I still have to test it out before I can show it to Power Loader and Principal Nezu.” Ectoplasm nodded his head before he said. “Good, now here’s my challenge.  calculate the amount of velocity a rocket needs to escape the pull of a black hole.”  Itsuka and Kyoka looked to the two geniuses on their team while Ochako had swirls in her eyes from the thought of the amount of math she’d have to do. Izuku tapped his index finger against his chin as Momo whispered in his ear. His eyes glazed for a second before saying. “Schwarzschild radius! Which is 186,000 miles/300,000 km (about 186411.36 mi) per second.” Ectoplasm tossed them the bag and said. “Correct. You may pass.” he then tapped the side of the wall and it moved creating an opening in the wall of the small clearing they were in. The group of five traveled through for a bit as Itsuka opened the silk bag and inside was a scroll. “light in darkness a heart of gold, be cautious now as fortune favors the bold. What does that mean?” She said as Izuku stopped at the same time as Kyoka. “The answer is Izuku.” Kyoka said as the greenette then said. “we need to find the exit now. Fortune favors the bold fortune favors the brave. It means to push beyond the limits of what is achievable! People who take chances are rewarded favorably.” he grabbed two girls in each arm as his wings came out. He flew through the corridors until he got towards the end where Boomstick blocked the way. “Hey there kids. Sorry but I was told by Powerloader not to let anybody past, wait hey you’re that guy that wrecked the first event in record time. I'll let you guys pass. But he has to fight me.” Ochako smirked and slapped Izuku’s back. “This should be easy Izuku! Go get him!” Kyoka and Momo were uneasy, but Itsuka whispered in his ear. “His quirk allows him to change his limbs into different long-range weapons. Just get up close and knock him out.” Izuku bit his lip before running towards the redneck and shot webs at the wall and pulled himself closer as he used the hypercube and pulled out a few web grenades that burst but Boomstick was ready. He changed his hand into a flamethrower and melted the webs. “That crap aint gonna work pal.” Izuku smirked and disappeared in a blur of gold and emerald. “Hey over here!” Izuku shouted to the left as he motioned for the girls to run out while he distracted Boomstick. Beanbags fired at Izuku who dodged them before he lifted the guest host before a shout was heard “DEKU!” Izuku cursed before throwing boomstick at Bakugo. “Kamikaze!” Boomstick shouted as he landed on the girl and her team. Izuku teleported outside and smirked as he waved to people with a big smile on his face. “And team Izuku is the first team out with all of their headbands. So what was your answer to the question on the scroll?” Midnight asked holding the microphone out. Kyoka leaned in and said. “Ours said light in darkness, a heart of gold be cautious as fortune favors the bold. The last part is simple and Izuku figured it out. Go beyond plus ultra. The second part I figured out. The answer is right here. It's Izuku. Hes a kind person with a dark type quirk. He also has a heart of gold.” the other girls nodded their heads and Aizawa sighed and said. “Yes, shes right. The problem child has a heart of gold.” Midnight smiled and ruffled Izuku’s hair as he blushed a deep red and kicked the ground. The greenette smiled and looked up at the crowd as he heard Wiz making comments on Izuku and Boomstick’s fight and team Izuku’s members before he commented on Bakugo who was showing no mercy against Boomstick.

“Boomstick didn’t go easy on Midoriya of class 1-A and he isn’t going easy on team Bakugo either. Though she’s got a powerful quirk she doesn’t have the speed Midoriya has, which means she cant get close to boomstick and use her quirk. But with the help of her team they’re able to overpower him and escape the maze. But while they were fighting boomstick two teams made it past and out of the maze….. the time is up in 5-----4----3---2—1! It’s over! Four teams have made it through and gotten to the final challenge! The one on one tournament! The tournament will be held after the hour for lunch. Til then everybody I’m Wiz and of course I’m joined by my partner Boomstick and the Lovely Eraserhead. We’ll see you all after the break!”
As people were leaving to go eat All might in his skinny form was standing in the teachers box with a few other heroes. He was listening to a couple of the business course students. “Midoriya is definitely the best pick for this years first years. He’ll gross a lot of equity before he even graduates.” One business student said as another added. “Yeah I’m sure that he will be getting not only offers to intern for heroes but also sponsorships from many businesses. Probably even modeling agencies a well. i think I’ll see if he needs a manager….” The conversation then became an argument when the group all wanted to be Izuku’s manager. Toshinori rolled his eyes and smirked as he looked down at his successor smiling up at the crowd. “You’re doing great young Midoriya. I’m very proud of you.” A large hand clasped his shoulder as the owner of the hand said. “Of course he’s doing great, I don’t train weaklings!” Cain smirked down at Toshinori who smiled at him. “He did say you weren’t going easy on him Marco-san.” The two then watched the boy before Marco said. “I’m starving lets go eat and go give the boy a pep talk before the last challenge.” All Might nodded and said. “Yes that sounds good. Midoriya already brought me my lunch this morning. Another one of his delicious bean burritos.” Cain smiled deeply at hat he said as he knew what kind of beans Izuku was using.

Izuku stretched out a bit as the girls beside him went off to get lunch. He went off to find his mom when he was tapped on the shoulder. “Izu-koi can we talk for a minute?” Todoroki said softly as he led her to a small space between two buildings for privacy. “What do you need to talk about Shoto?” Izuku asked as the duel haired girl shyly smiled at him. “I want to make a bet with you. If we end up fighting each other and I win, you will be my boyfriend and take me on a date. If you win you can ask me for anything you want.” Izuku blushed and said. “Okay, but if I win you’re standing up to your dad. But if I feel that you’re not fighting me 100 percent the deal is off. That means both parts of your quirk.” Shoto smiled and leaned towards him as she whispered to him. “Let’s seal the deal with a kiss.” She then kissed him on the lips wrapping her arms around him. Izuku moaned a bit at the intensity of the kiss and dropped to his knees as Todoroki walked away swinging her hips at him. Izuku sighed and ran off to get enough food to tide him over and spend some time with his mom. “I hope the rest of the girls that like me won’t be that assertive.” Izuku said to himself as turned a corner to go eat.
