Unfortunately I had to go back because of the water and the mucking out, but luckily I will maybe get to know him a little better later. I would like to hear from him about the land of the Russian Empire. I strolled back to the yard and brought one of the two buckets into the kitchen before taking the other to the animals. I filled the animals water half way because I didn't have enough water with me. So I went back to the beautiful forest for more water. The birds chirped as I made my way to the pond. The air here was fresh and not full of dust as in my room.

I didn't really mind dust, although I had to sneeze from it all the time. My biological father hated dust and always wanted everything to be sparkling clean. My little brother was something like that, but luckily not that bad. This forest was a lot better than the royal garden. I even saw a squirrel hop around. In the distance I could even hear a woodpecker beating the trunk of a tree. Presumably he was after beetles under the bark. As I passed some flowers I saw two cabbage whites, white butterflies with a few black spots on their wings.

I watched them flutter toward each other from two sides. Both flew to the side, one closely followed by the other. At some point they were so close that I couldn't tell which one was which. Did the two of them like each other or were they fighting? I hope they like each other because there was too much hatred and distrust in this world anyway. The butterflies disappeared into the depths of the forest. After a short time I saw a dragonfly that flew just past my face so that I could feel the wind of its wings beat on my forehead. "Libelle, du spinnst doch wohl! (Dragonfly, you're crazy!)" I laughed. She should really watch where she was going. I followed the dragonfly to the stream, but it got stuck between two reeds and I knew immediately that there was a spider web there.

Should I help the dragonfly? It could probably free itself, but I wasn't quite sure. I already saw the spider, it was a garden spider. I have to decide quickly! Oh forget it! I'll think about it later. I put the wooden bucket on the grass and immediately grabbed another reed, tore it out and got the dragonfly out of the dangerous situation. "Tut mir leid Spinne, aber suche dir jemand anderes, den du fressen kannst! (Sorry spider, but find someone else to eat!)", I told the spider before I took care of the wriggling dragonfly. I divided the reeds I had in two and tried to get the spider web off her. After a few minutes it refused to let me help it and flew away.

I looked after it happily. "Well done Andreas!", I heard someone behind me. I was frightened and turned around. Nick stood there and apologized: "I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." I started smiling at him and said: "All right! You don't have to apologize!" Nick came closer to me and said enthusiastically: "The dragonfly had a really lucky day! I thought it was really nice of you how you saved it." Unfortunately, I didn't know what to say to him. I nervously scratched my neck with my hand and said: "Thank you!" Then I got up and remembered: "Didn't we want to talk later?"

"Yes, but I need more flowers," answered Nick. "I also need more water for the animals.", I informed him. Then he said: "You really have a heart for animals." Nick seems really nice and likes animals. He was so close in front of me that for the first time I could really look into his golden eyes. I didn't mean to seem weird, but I liked his eyes. Normal people did not have such a golden tone. Fortunately, my eyes were blue and the potion couldn't change the color of the eyes. Was he a Countryhuman like me? No, definitely not, surely he just had a particularly beautiful eye color that reminds me too much of Soviet.

There was another difference between Countryhumans eyes and human eyes, Countryhumans eyes glittered slightly, but the potion prevented that too. Still, I couldn't stop looking at his special eyes. However, when I noticed how long I stared at this, I immediately looked away, uncomfortable. When I looked at him briefly, he also looked a little to the side. "Maybe we will go down the stream first, do our tasks and then meet, as we have agreed.", I suggested, whereupon he nodded a little shyly. Was there something bad about staring into his golden eyes for so long? I took my bucket and walked with him down the stream next to me.

"What is your favorite color?", I asked him, wanting to start a conversation. "Red and you?", he asked back. I replied: "Blue is my favorite color. What is your favorite animal?" Nick replied: "Brown Bear and you?" "I like gray wolves, but I've never seen a wolf before.", I answered. "I've never seen wolves either, but I've seen a black bear before and fought it a little against it.", he said. "You fought a bear?", I ask amazed. Who the hell would ever fight with a bear? Nick had to be really strong and brave. He said: "Oh yeah and it was really fun until..."

He didn't finish the sentence and looked away from me. What happened to the bear? Did Nick hurt him badly? Nick continued out of nowhere: "... my father killed him." Poor bear I hoped he wouldn't have to suffer long. Nick's father wasn't nice, because who would hurt any living being? My father probably, but I do not like to think about him. I had to cheer Nick up somehow because I didn't want to see him so sad. "I'm sorry, Nick.", I said, stroking his back. Then he saw at me and I started to smile a little because I wanted him not to have to think negatively about such a thing. He also started to smile slightly.

I took the chance to get away from the topic and asked: "What do you like to do in your free time?" Nick replied: "I carve figures out of wood, go swimming, learn to play instruments, watch animals or make up stories. What are you doing?" "I read and write stories, also watch animals, draw pictures and I sometimes sing," I replied. Then we arrived at the point. I dipped the wooden bucket into the stream again and then went back to the farm, but Nick caught up with me with some flowers in his hand.

"I have something for you for saving the dragonfly.", he said, came closer to me and carefully put something in my hair. Then he walked away a little and smiled at me before he said: "That looks really good on you!" From the reflection of the water in my bucket, I saw that it was a blue flower. It was really nice and looked really good on me, as Nick had said. "Thank you very much!", I thanked him happily. Nick replied: "You're welcome! See you later!" "Yes! See you then!", I called after him before he disappeared behind the trees. Then I continued on my way back to the farm.
