It was Sunday morning i had completed my assignments and was preparing for my upcoming exams when my phone rang ,picking up i saw the caller id's name it was maa.
"Hello ma." I said with a slight smile . "Kaisi hai?" She questioned we asked our whereabouts when "Maya,your dad has find a groom for you ."she said exhaling a breathe "What?!" I was utterly in shock ,after arriving here at jaipur everything changed the plans i made to not fall in love and marry only the guy my dad will be choosing for me,it all just got reversed .My throat ran dry "Maya you there?" Her words made my thoughts stop "Ye.s ." I crooked out
"Maa...I can't marry the guy he choose for me."I managed to answer "Ik,beta but it was the promise you made I tried my best convincing your dad to not make this deal as a marriage contract but he didn't listen!"she sobbed "I'm so Sorry bacha,I'm such a useless and bad mom I can't even help my own daughter."she sobbed again
"Muma..shhhh yar don't say such things you deserve the world ,i love you soo much aj tak tmne apne baare mai socha hi kaha hai,you only thought about us you always did your best taking my side always protecting me shielding me ,I don't how will i be able to repay ma." I didn't even realise that i was crying
" aisa marogi na, its my love for you stop saying nonsense , you have not taken dept better not say those again."she scolded god i love her soo much
"Ok ok fine muma."I chuckled through my tears
"I'll visit you soon i miss you all mere exams Khatam hote hi I'll come to you." I said "Haan bete ,come soon." She sniffed i could imagine her wiping her tears with her saree's pallu. "Do you love someone?" Her question took me by off guard ,I didn't knew how to answer her questions i stayed silent. "You know you can talk to me maya."she said "I do muma , he's the sweetest guy i have ever dated and I can't even think about anyone else maa,its him I don't wanna loose him maa not him please he's the only hope and sunshine of my life,he seems to be tough but he's a literal baby." Now it was me who was sobbing like a cry baby " ohh mera bacha,shhhh don't cry i see u are deeply in love with him its ok calm down once u arrive here will try to convince your dad what if he agrees." Her words seems to make sense i had some hope building in me.
"We can do that." I answered wipping off the tears when the door bell rang "Maa I'll call you later tc love you."with that i hunged up
I walked towards the door peaking through the peak hole as i saw Adhuu standing . I rubbed my face with my hands to not let him know i was bawling my eyes out. Opening the door i smiled "Adhu.." shit my voice sounded so hoarse "Baby." He said as he steps inside closing the door behind taking my body in his arms while he pressed a kiss on my forehead.
"Why does your eyes look so red?" He questioned his brows furrowed. He touched my cheeks cupping them "were you crying baby?" Oh god Wht should i answer He stared at me with those hazel eyes as if he could see i was sobbing like rat just a min ago.
"Just had a..a mental breakdown uk the exams."i answered hoping that he would eat what i was feeding him. " baby, don't stress yourself hmm? If you need any help I'll help you see I bought you some chocolates and snack's you can have them when you feel low or stressed ." He said showing me the bag full of snacks, that made my eyes a little moist i wanna cry so bad
"Ayee Ayee don't cry ,should i bring something else." He freaked out seeing my face "Nooo Adhu,itsss just god i love u soo much thank you for being there for me whenever im low." I answered pecking him on his lips.
He grinned , "i love you to baby,I can't see you cry it hurts me." He's eyes softened as he hugged me . Inhaling his smell it felt so comforting and warm.
Adhair pov
Here i was making some warm soup for maya,I could sense something was wrong with her and i even know that if i still ask her she will dodge my questions like a pro.
Sighing i served the soup in a bowl walking towards her she was in her pjs lost in her world.placing the bowl I called her. "Baby have some you will feel better." I said making her to look at me as she nodded .
I took a seat beside as i watched her taking spoonful of the soups . "Does it tastes good?" "Ohh,yeah it does." She answered while smiling which didn't reached her eyes.
After she finished i took the bowl washed and cleaned the kitchen. I saw her getting up as she headed towards her bedroom something is really wrong she's not my maya ,the way her eyes are red her face colour had drained out .
I stride towards her room. Slowly approaching her "Baby,what's wrong you can talk to me you know that ?"i said holding her hands in mine. She looked at me with her eyes glassy " nothing..adhu it's just my hormones." She answered which obviously is a lie her periods are over "Don't lie baby." God i hated seeing her eyes cry ,i hated seeing her in a position where I can't help her ,i hated me for not understanding her.
"Adhu don't stress yourself please I'm ok I promise its just a little mood-swings and hormones." Cupping my cheeks she said still i was not convinced but i believe she won't lie ,will she!?
Releasing a sigh of relief " fine ,wanna cuddle?" She nodded as she lay back on the bed turning off the lights while I scooted towards her placing her head on my chest while i massage her head ,she exhaled a breathe soon she fell asleep.
I hope everything's fine with her.
