———————————————"Fuck." Cato groaned, as he lazily rolled off of Clove. The two of them lay side by side, tangled in a mess of bed sheets and limbs, the only thing that could be heard in the room was the sounds of their heavy breaths, pants and sighs. After a few minutes of silently riding out their high, Clove turned her head slightly to face Cato.
"Did you like that?" She whispered.
"You were amazing." He mumbled, placing a soft kiss on her lips. "As per usual." He added.
"You're over-exaggerating." She chuckled with a sigh.
"I'm not." He argued, as he rolled out of the bed. "I'll never get tired of fucking you."
Clove let out a loud and rather condescending scoff of disbelief, which caused Cato to whip his head in her direction. Clove giggled to herself at the prominent look of offence he wore, "I'm sorry, but I'm not buying it."
"Why's that?" He asked, folding his arms over his chest.
"Well you don't exactly have a sterling silver reputation, Cato." She said, with a laugh. "Just eleven months ago you had a knew conquest every week. You can't blame me for finding it a little hard to believe, you won't get bored."
"Is that what you think of me?" Cato asked, as he watched her roll out of bed after him.
"Of course." She said absentmindedly, as wriggled back into the clothes that had been discarded on the floor. What Clove hadn't noticed was the sheer look of offence that Cato now wore, he'd never been one to care about other peoples options and that was very evident in his behaviour, however the second the words left Clove's mouth he felt a strange feeling in his chest.
"Seriously?" He asked again. That time something about Cato's tone caused Clove to look up in confusion, she seemed to quickly pick up on the fact that she'd clearly offended him.
"Are you upset?" She asked, with a slight smirk. "Oh, Cato—"
"Don't 'Oh, Cato' me. You just basically said, i'm shallow." He said with a frown.
"I didn't say that." She argued, slowly trudging towards him. "I know you're not shallow, I just said that I doubt you won't get bored of me." She said with another laugh, in an attempt to diffuse the tension. "Don't be offended." She whispered, before placing a soft kiss on his lips. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah." He mumbled simply, although Clove could tell that he wasn't.
"I should get going." She whispered.
"Same time tomorrow?" He asked quietly.
"Of course." She said with a half smile, allowing to gently peck her cheek. Clove took a deep breath before scooping up disregarded bag, making a beeline towards Cato's headroom door. Just as Clove placed her hand around the doorknob,
she heard Cato shift from behind her."Clove." He heard him call out from behind her, Clove turned her body at a ninety degree angle, unsure of what to expect from Cato.
"Yeah?" She said back, discretely biting down on her tongue.
"What are we?" He asked, with a stoic expression, which made it nearly impossible for Clove to read his emotions. Clove gently placed her bag back on the ground, presuming the conversation about to take place would be a particularly long one.
"I don't get what you mean—"
"I think you do." He interjected, lazily shoving his hands in his jogging bottom pockets. "I mean what are we? What is this? Is this actually going somewhere, or is it just a waste of time—"
