Cato
8:53pm You look incredible.

Stop it right now. 8:53pm

Cato
8:54pm What?
8:54pm Can't a guy tell his girlfriend how good she looks?

I know where this is going Cato... 8:55pm
And fuck , I hate you for it. 8:56pm

Cato
8:56pm So if you know where it's going let's cut to the chase and go upstairs now.

You've lost your mind. 8:57pm
This family dinner has been int he books for weeks, you and I both know we can't get away with disappearing for longer than ten bloody minutes. 8:58pm

Cato
8:58pm Well it's a good bloody thing I don't need longer than that...
8:59pm Remember during the state dinner, when we snuck off and I—

"Clove." A voice said, instantly cutting her train of thought. Clove's head instantly snapped up to find her grandfather shooting her a rather stern look which could've meant one of two things:
A. She'd been caught texting or B. She'd been asked a question and failed to hear it due to the fact her attention was most definitely elsewhere.
"Mrs Hadley asked what your plans are for the summer." He elaborated, motioning over to Cato's mother who was sat opposite Clove herself.

It happened quite often where the Hadley family, and the Kentwell family got together for dinner. A handful of things would often be discussed during those dinners, including business, the latest occurrences in society as well as their personal lives. "Oh—" Clove stuttered, promptly locking her phone and placing it in her lap. "Well, Glimmer, Katniss, Johanna, Annie and I were thinking about taking a holiday somewhere, the boys too."

"Oh that sounds exciting." Cassandra beamed, turning to face her son.

"The only problem is we all can't agree on where to go." Clove said with a light chuckle.

"You could always do one week in one place, and a week in another." Darius replied, from beside his wife, quickly biting the chicken off of his fork.

"That's always an Idea." Clove said briefly glancing up at Cato, whose gaze was fixated in his lap. From the constant buzzing of Clove's phone, it was safe to say that Cato was still texting her, and hadn't yet been caught by his own parents. "What about you both?" Clove sighed, turning to Cato's parents who she often regarded as her own. The Hadley's had always treated Clove herself, her father and grandfather as family— And as a result, Clove viewed them as such. "У тебя есть какие-нибудь планы поехать в Екатеринбург или Москву, может быть?" (Do you have any plans to go to Yekaterinburg or Moscow, maybe?)

A loud group of collective chuckles filled the silence, as Clove finished her sentence. "Твой русский становится лучше, дорогая." (Your Russian is getting better, dear.) Cassandra chimed, with a beaming smile of her own.
It wasn't often Clove spoke the Hadley's native tongue, however, she still often made the effort to learn more of the language and improve on it.
Clove had first made an effort with learning Russian three years prior, when Cato had invited her to Russia to meet his grandparents. To her happiness, as well as Cato's her efforts proved worthy, evident by the fact that his grandparents had never been so pleased in their entire lives.
At times, Clove struggled with translation, but knew enough to get by.

"Yes dear, we probably will." Darius said, glancing up to Cato, who missed his father's gesture due to his fixation on his phone.
