"Yoonie ya~ it has been only two days but I have missed you so much." Areum hugged Hayoon as soon as she entered their apartment. "I missed you too Areumie." She hugged back her. They broke the hug as Areum saw someone standing behind Hayoon. That made Hayoon look at the door behind her.
"What is this Hayoon?" Areum asked without breaking the eye contact with the guest.
"Hello, Areum! Long time no see." Hayoon's mother stepped in to hug Areum. Hayoon was looking at them with full love descended of her eyes.
"Sky said that you will be here in the evening. It's really a surprise to see you now." Hayoon's Grandma said. "Ah yes! But I took a day off. That's fine. I'm so glad to meet you both and surprises as well." Areum said as she broke the hug.
After spending a few hours together Hayoon's mother and Grandmother left for the nearby hotel room they had reserved before they came. Even though Hayoon asked them to live with her, they just refused the offer saying they didn't want to be a burden. Hayoon had no other choice but to let them do whatever they wanted.
"So girl, it's time to spill the tea." Areum sat down on the couch with a packet of snacks as Hayoon's Mother and Grandmother left. "Which tea are you talking about, Areum? Let me rest first. " Hayoon asked even without looking at Areum. "Girl! What do you think about I took a day off to listen to your tea and you are just acting like there's nothing." Her voice was mixed with disappointment and excitement.
"Fine fine, do you know what made me more shocked?" Hayoon asked as she sat down on the floor near Aruem and stole some snacks from her packet. Areum nodded her head to sign no.
"My eyes." Hayoon continued.
"Eheeyyy. What's new? Who won't be shocked by seeing your eyes? Even I do." Areum said as disappointment filled her. That even made Hayoon roll her eyes at Areum. "That's not what you are thinking Areum. You know, I was always wondering about how I got these eyes as same as my eyes before." She stopped for a while. "Yes, since Hazel0 eyes are rare it's concerning," Aruem answered.
"That's from my dad," Hayoon said.
"Wait! What? Did you meet him? Is he the donator? DID YOUR FATHER DONATE YOU HIS EYES?" Areum exclaimed as she couldn't believe her ears. "What the hell are you talking about Aruem? That's not my father but my grandmother. Father's mother." She continued. "She has died and they agreed to donate her eyes to me. That's why it has happened us to come here." Hayoon paused for a moment. There were so many questions going on inside Areum's head.
"First of all, why did your father and Haesuel leave America?"
"That's the thing I couldn't find an answer yet Areum. First I never knew that I had a twin. Second I thought my parents were divorced but not. I don't know why they wanted to separate Haesuel and me." Hayoon said looking at the floor. "But you know what, something strange happened. When we were there, my father had a phone call and he was nervous. My mom's behaviour also changed after he said something to her. What do think about it?" Hayoon asked. Aruem was looking at Hayoon and also thinking hard at the same time. "I know that's obvious to overthink and maybe it's something from his office or any personal thing. But that bothers me." She continued.
"Yoonie ya~ fine, if there is something let's think about later. You should rest now. Go go good girl." Hayoon got up and went to her room. She admitted that she was so tired physically and mentally. So she also wanted to give his body and mind a rest.
After she was done with her routines she came back to the living room and saw Areum was setting a table for lunch. "Oh, you are here. Come and have some food then have a good rest. When will you start work again?" Areum asked as both sat down. "Monday." The answer was short. "Hey, what I told you before? Don't overthink about it. Just rest." Hayoon nodded and remained in silence as she continued her lunch.
"Hyung, what are you doing staring at your phone? Come here." It was Hoshi who was busy collecting members for practice. "Shua hyung is waiting for Hayoon noon to reply. Just wai-" Before Dino finishes his line a bag hit his face. "Fine, that proves you are right Chan ah~" it was Seungkwan. "That's not. Look I was playing a game and I lost it. Are you happy now?" Joshua showed his phone screen to others and they just laughed. "That's right. Chan ah~ that doesn't make sense because he never checks his DMs." As always it was Woozi who bragged the matter of Shua's DMs. That made everyone laugh; even Joshua.
"Didn't Hayoon call you, Hyung?" Mingyu asked and Joshua nodded for a no. "It seems like Hayoon loves Aruem more than Hyung." DK joined. "I said she didn't call me, but contacted me," Shua said. "Didn't call but contacted?! wait! Do you check her messages and not ours? This guy didn't even check his birthday message I sent him." DK started a fake cry and Jeonghan joined him by consoling. "Soonyoung ah~ didn't you just call us for practice? Why don't we start?" Joshua tried to change the topic and fortunately, all others could read the room that Shua was not in the mood to accept a joke. They immediately got up and started to practice.
