Skylar's POV

"Did you get everything you need?" He asked as I got down the staircase where to our flat.

"Hmm.." I just hummed to answer him and I guess I got it. He loaded my suitcase into the car and told me to sit inside the car. Instead of doing that, I helped him to load my suitcase.

Earlier at the car park when he asked for a second chance, I decided to give him that chance. Not only because he asked. I also wanted him. I loved him that much. I didn't want to let him go again. Yet, we have so many things to clear. But we can do that slowly, right? Isn't the time the best medicine to heal a broken heart? I hope time will support both of us too. Witnessing the way he cried earlier begging for a second chance, made my heart sink. He regrets what he did. I didn't want him to give that burden anymore. That's why I decided to let us start again. But still, we are awkward with each other.

"Still, you don't have to do this," I said as he closed the back door. "That's fine, Hazz! Let me do this." I nodded.

None of us spoke for a long time. Even if I have to ask so many questions I remained silent. I looked at him. I guess he felt that because he also looked at me at once.

"Am I that much handsome?" Have I been staring at him that much time? Gosh!!

"W-what?"

"You were stari-" I cut off him

"Eyes on road, Mister..." I said harshly.

"Yes, ma'am." He winked and faced the road back.

He is handsome, not perhaps in the conventional sense, but he had that appearance that could make him stand out in the crowd. His eyes were as deep and expressive, as you could get lost if you stared long enough. His smile, which reached up to his eyes and wrinkled them, flaunted his modesty and humility. He-

"Why don't you tell me what happened?" I was drowning in my own thoughts when his words distracted me.

"A-ah? About what?" Instead of answering, he looked at me. His eyes locked with mine. Eyes! He's talking about my eyes.

"Uhmm- Someone contacted mom 2 years ago. I still don't know who was that but I'm very thankful to her." I smiled. He was waiting for more to listen so I continued. "Actually when we were together,  I had a wish." I said shyly lowering my head. "What's that?" He asked. "I wanted to see you first when I got my sight back. I wanted you to be my side when my bandages were removed." I said without raising my head and heard he sighed. "When you left me alone there, those kids started to bully me again. I was crushed when you suddenly left without telling me anything. Even your mom didn't say anything. I-" I was cut off. "Did you contact my mom? When I asked her, she said you were nowhere to be found." He was confused. It was written on his face. "Only once. That was not me but mom. Your mom had said that you had gone for a long time. A trauma hits me so hard at that time. Those kids didn't stop and our memories hunted me so hard. So we decided to move to another city without telling anyone. After that donator contacted mom 2 years ago we moved here. I still don't know why we came here without finding a donator from there." I paused for a while. 'Shit' I heard him curse and he stopped the car at the right lane in the road. I looked at him confusingly. His eyes were burning and he clenched his fits. I covered his fits with both of my hands which made him look at me. But my eyes were on his hands. "As you said, that was our past. It has already happened. Let's move on." I said. As he lowered his head, I saw tears fall in secret. That made me cry too.
