Atticus Bloom, you've finally reached heaven.

Books are one of the most wonderful creations of mankind. They are much less complicated than people and every single word in them holds some type of value or meaning. Some books are complex yet entertaining, while others are simple and engaging. There are countless types of writing out there, making the world full of endless books and authors.

Being surrounded by thousands of beautifully written pages and an endless variety of stories, there's nothing that could make me happier.

I chuckled to myself as my mind wandered, rolling over onto my stomach. Though I was enjoying myself more than I should have been, I hadn't forgotten the task that Raphael had assigned me.

Honestly though, cryomancy is pretty self explanatory, especially considering the common knowledge that Ice is simply water once frozen below freezing temperatures but for the sake of my own memory a refresher would be nice.

Cryomancy, in simplified terms it is the ability to create ice by gathering the surrounding water particles from the air and freezing it by slowing down the movement of water molecules.

The resulting effect based on the amount of water that surrounds you and in addition to the amount of energy and concentration used should also affect the overall force behind your attack.

Which sounds like common sense but according to the book of consequences it specifically stated that every form of magic has its own unique consequences depending upon the user and the circumstances but unfortunately the overall price of me overusing my abilities leads to more physical pain then simple death.

Hoori is only willing to lend me his power if I get on my knees and beg him for it—which I don't exactly mind but with that being said...learning magic is going to be a little more complicated for me due to the connections I've been blessed with.

Ella hasn't mentioned anything about light magic and if I am being completely honest I don't believe it would be considered all the usually whenever it comes to defeating myself.

Then again when it comes to the marked corpses she had surrounded herself with that day in the cave, I can't help but wonder...

"Aghh...who cares, she'd probably ignore me if I asked anyway." I sighed softly closing the book before pushing myself back onto my knees,

As soon as I sat up, I felt a sudden tightness in my throat, as if something had been choking me. I had to cough to clear my airway, and when I did, I noticed that my palm were covered in a small puddle of blood. I was taken aback by the sight, and before I could fully process what was happening, I was hit with another coughing attack which felt much worse than the first one.

"*cough,cough, COUGH* Agh—! Haa...ha...ACK!"
"ATTICUS?!? WHERE—ah, there you are!" I peeked over my shoulder to see Zilio kneeling down next to me with a worried expression.

I had removed one of my hands from my mouth to cover my stomach as the coughing had only intensified and my vision had begun to blur, why does this stuff keep happening to me whenever everything is going well... "*COUGH, COUGH*"

"Dammit...hang in there, I'm going to get the doctor!" Zilio shouted, shooting a quick glance at me before dashing toward the door. He yelled something in the left direction before dashing away. However, once his feet had disappeared, I noticed another pair of boots appearing. Unfortunately, by the time they had entered the room, I had lost my remaining consciousness.

Though due to the lack of oxygen I had managed to regain it rather quickly but unfortunately the coughing started again and was 10x worse than it had been prior to my unconsciousness and that's when I saw Theo standing right above me with a crooked smile on his face, "haha...damn, who would've thought someone so miserable looking could turn me on this much~?" He laughed.
