She smiles and waves at the old man at the reception enthusiastically; He shoots a crooked, wrinkled smile back her way. She looks down shyly, beaming at herself proudly.
She looks at me with those big blue eyes. "He was nice."
Celina straight up laughs, while Kai chuckles softly. "Everybody is nice to you." He remarks. I fight the urge to shoot daggers with my eyes.
Her smile suddenly drops, to a frown like pout. "You're just jealous no one has smiled and waved at you." She retorts, glaring her own pair of daggers at Kai. His mouth gapes, an offended look plastered on his mouth.
But before he has the chance to respond, Tiana and Ricky glue themselves to her side. Tiana threatening Kai with just her ice cold gaze. "He is just Jealous, Izzy." I almost laugh at the nickname they've given her.
"Yeah, He's jealous he doesn't have a way with people like you do Iz." Ricky adds on, bumping her shoulder with his. She smiles looking downward, shying away. Fuck.
"Um, excuse me—What?" Kai finally butts in to defend himself.
"Lets not make a scene, Please?" I say—just to be ignored.
"I am very charming thank you--And I'm not jealous, why would I be jealous when I look like this?" He gestures to the build of his body.
I snort, refraining from the ugly laughter bubbling up my throat.
Isadora looks him down to up, and simply shrugs, a downward smile playing on her mouth.
He narrows his gaze on her. "Hey—No. I don't like that." He points his finger to her accusingly.
"Like what?"
"That thing you just did—The sarcastic shrug!!" His voice raising an octave. "Who taught her that?" He asks, crossing his arms. I pinch the bridge of my nose. "I wonder." A sarcastic retort slips from my tongue.
He taps his chin obliviously, still in thought; While Isadora's mind has already wandered to whatever interesting object has gained her interest to the left of the store.
"Can We go look at those?" She points to the racks and racks of dresses with various designs.
"Yeah sure."
Tiana puts us to a halt. "Um—What about the list?" Tiana takes the wrinkled, once folded paper out of the pocket in her red leather purse. "Oh shit— I forgot about that." Joey scratches his head.
"That's fine, I'll go with her." I say, walking to stand by her side. "What happened to sticking to together?" Celina shoots, retorting my earlier statement, head cocking to the side with a smirk tugging at her lips.
"I said, Push comes to shove: Stick in pairs of two." I shoot back, shrugging.
Joey grins. "Oh good, Me and Tiana will get the things on the list then." He says, wrapping an arm around her waist.
