"Everyone, please give me your complete and utter attention." Kimberly calls out. Weary silence envelopes the semi-large crowd.

Anxiety ridden thoughts consume me, nerves spike the hairs on my skin. My fingers attempt to distract the storm with-in my mind by fiddling with one another.

"You are most likely wondering why I have had everyone meet up extra early this morning, especially knowing how long today will be due to the monthly duels."

She sighs, annoyed almost. "Well, that is because there will be no duels today." She announces, and I feel like an a thousand pound weight has been lifted off my chest, allowing me to finally breathe properly. I turn to exchange a relieved glance to Tiana.

She side-eyes Kimberly and Nora. Joey snorts.

"That is because we want to try something different, a game—" Nora elbows Kimberly in the ribs, giving her the look. Kimberly grimaces. "A exercise for teamwork." She corrects. Nora smiles contently.

"There will be two teams of six, Red, and Blue." She says, "I'll announce who will be with who at the end of this meeting. Each teams will have one flag, the goal is to protect your flag and defend your base. Whilst also strategizing on how to invade the other teams base and retrieve their flag."

"Whoever manages to capture the others flag, wins."

"Oh, We're playing capture the flag.." Ricky speaks, lowly. "That's what this is?" I ask, furrowing my brows as the silence with-in the crowd slowly disappears into commotion.

Tiana smiles, excitedly she shakes Joey. "It's so fun! We used to play it in elementary school before we were taken out." Tiana exclaims.

"Oh, So it's like a game?" Abigail chimes in, questioning.

I throw an arm around her slightly taller body, snickering. "No no, Abs, It's a exercise for teamwork. " She giggles, wrapping her arm around my waist. "My bad."

"Can we just acknowledge the way that all three of them are matching," Ricky points out. "And they didn't even bother to invite us into the loop." he then grumbles, crossing his arms.

"Oh yeah, Talk about fucking rude." Joey chimes in, crossing his arms. I smile. "That's very fucked up of you guys, like so fucked up." He exasperates it. I just laugh.

Tiana rolls her eyes. "Fuck off, you guys wouldn't be able to rock the pattern." She says, Ricky and Joey both gasp and look at one another in complete and utter shock. "The fuck?"

Ricky recoils, offended. "Excuse me, I look amazing in anything and everything." He corrects, shooting us a nasty glare. Joey nods, "Me too!" He points to himself smugly.

I'm about to say something snarky, Until the loud noise of a clearing throat gathers our attention once again, coaxing the crowd to silence.

"As I was saying. I have specifically arranged each team with hopes to force everyone to get along and use teamwork in challenging situations. Especially for the people who just cannot seem to co-exist." Annoyance coats her tone, I find myself scouring the crowds in hopes to spot these people.
