"Why is communication so scary to you?" Kai complains; Ignoring the offence I take by that sentence, I simply shrug.

"Abandonment issues." Joey chimes in, snacking on a bag of chips that came out of nowhere. Pink lipstick is smudged on his cheeks, from where he attempted to wash it off, but only managed to smudge the pink tint further up his cheeks.

"Fuck you."

"Ha, You wish."

Before I can respond, Kai leads me back on a path I am desperately trying to escape;
"I'm just saying, it wouldn't kill you to talk to her Instead of leading her on."

"I'm not leading her on." I'm too quick to defend myself. You sure? My consciences questions.
"Oh really? When was the last time you kissed her?" He asks, "And don't try to lie because we all know you've kissed her."

Shaking off the reminisce of her lips on mine; I begin to answer, just to be interrupted by Joey.
"No, no no. The real question, Is when was the last time you thought about kissing her." He grins. Just now.

He gasps. Then He waggles his brows with a cheeky grin. "Or something more..."

I sigh, My mouth refusing to answer due to the un-comfortability I feel with that question—And the fact I can't get a word in with these two interrupters. And they wonder why I don't talk a lot.

A startling knock sounds from the door, saving me temporarily from this uncomfortable conversation; Before I can even think about getting up, Joey beats me to it. Slipping on the air on his way there.

The door whips open, and the sound of her sweet familiar voice causes every hair on my body to stick up, and my heart to spike unhealthily.

"Hi, Joey."

Joey Cowers. "Please tell me you aren't here to torment me more." Her even more sweet laugh fills the air, sucking the oxygen out of my lungs and consuming my brain with descriptive images of her beautiful smile.

"No, of course not. I've had my fun." She says. He sighs loudly. "Thank the heavens.. Anyways, what brings you here." He asks, her sweet voice doesn't respond. His question is left lingering in the air with curiosity and anticipation.

I can hear his grin from over here. "Ohh," Teasing is in his tone. "I got you." He says before spinning around to face us, well, Kai really.

"Kai, Come on buddy, I'll walk you back to your cabin." He says, gesturing with his hand enthusiastically. Joey shoots Kai a look, drawing my eyes to see if Kai reciprocates said look.
"How sweet of you." Sarcasm drips from his tongue.

"Hi, Kai."

"Hi, Izzy" He greets her with his crooked smile, going to stand beside Joey. "How are you?" She asks. "I'm doing alright, You?—"
