Interesting Fact- The title of the chapter is derived from two words 'Wedding Bells' and 'Kalyana Vaibhogam' to symbolize the religious/cultural disparities between the protagonists and illustrate how their union blends these differences into a harmonious relationship.

"If you've already made up your mind to marry, could you enlighten us on why you're here?" Vinoth inquired of Xavier.
Xavier turned his gaze towards Vinoth. During his previous visit, everyone had maintained a conspicuous silence during his session with Krithika's father. Hence, it came as a fresh surprise to see that other men in the family actually had a voice, unlike the eldest Shanmugam—Ashok, the assholic one—who was simply shooting daggers at him with his sharp stare.
"We've come to seek your blessings," Xavier said, shifting uncomfortably under Ashok's constant glare. "I love Krithika; I worship her and am willing to do anything for her. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been chosen by someone as wonderful as her," he added, meeting Ashok's eyes. "She wanted to see her parents happy with her choice, and I promised myself I would fulfill every wish of my Kanmani."
"Where are your parents?" Sivan interjected. "These all look like your friends and siblings. Isn't there anyone older to speak on your behalf? Someone trustworthy who can converse with us as an elder?"
Krishna let out a sigh. Just a few years ago, he had found himself in the opposite seat, Xavier facing the interrogation of his parents. Utilizing his influence, he had ensured that his sweet little sister wasn't marrying some random serial killer but a respectable man. He recognized that all the inquiries raised by Krithika's uncles stemmed from a genuine concern for Krithika, and he empathized with their intentions.
He replied, "Uncle, Xavier's parents have passed away," pausing briefly to glance at Krithika before adding, "And, he was my brother-in-law seven years ago until my sister chose to dissolve their marriage."
Xavier started, "My guardians would like to meet if you—"
"Why did your sister divorce him?" Ashok shot out the first question, his gaze drilling into Krishna. "Why should I agree to marry off my daughter to a divorcee?"
Xavier's hand clenched into a tight fist. He hated diving into the intricacies of his first marriage. He was a divorcee—plain and simple. The "why" of it wasn't his concern. He had no desire to justify himself, especially when it wasn't his fault. That chapter was his past. Krithika was his present.
Krishna offered a reassuring smile. "I refrain from involving myself in my sister's personal affairs. She's quite... selective about her life choices. Raised as a little princess, she's a tad too adamant to budge for anything." A flicker of sadness flashed across his face, but he quickly composed himself. "Don't misunderstand my lack of involvement as apathy; she just tends to keep her feelings to herself. I suppose the only person she's been truly close to in her entire life is my elder brother. After him, it's undoubtedly Xavier." He glanced at Xavier before continuing, "And if there were anything wrong with Xavier's character, do you think I'd be sitting here so composed, praising his virtues?"
Sivan turned to Xavier. "You were saying something about your guardians? Where do they live?"
"They live in Maharashtra," Krishna interjected. "I can arrange for their visit here if you'd like to meet them."
"You?" Sivan frowned.
Xavier nodded slightly. "Krishna is the son-in-law of my guardians."
"Hmm..." Saranya scanned the two of them. "So, you both got married at the same time?"
"No," Farhan smirked. "Our SP Sahib fell head over heels for Xavier's friend—well, you could call her Xavier's sister—when he saw her at Xavier's wedding. Right, Krish? Am I getting the details right?"
Krishna grunted, his neck flushing red.
"Aren't you too old for our daughter?" Vinoth asked, shaking his head in disapproval. He turned to Krithika. "Really? You're okay with that?"
Aarti chimed in, "I don't think we should poke at that, especially considering there's a couple within this family with an eleven-year age gap." Her gaze volleyed between Vinoth and Vasanthi as she added with a sly smile, "Hypocrisy isn't the best approach here."
Vinoth choked on his spit, coughing loudly as Vasanthi turned beet red. Their love story had once been the talk of the town: the headstrong celibate Vinoth, second son of Shanmugam, falling head over heels for the young village beauty. They had faced family opposition due to their significant age gap before finally being allowed to marry. If anyone in the family understood the hardships of a love marriage, it was them.
Krithika's lips twitched. "I'm okay with that," she added. "I love him, Chittappa."
"We would like to meet your guardians," Sivan pressed. "You two might be mature and responsible, but we need reassurance that Krithika is marrying the right person. I understand she left home to pursue her aspirations, and we lost touch with her for various reasons. But marriage is a serious matter—not to be taken lightly."
Xavier let out a long sigh.
